It is rather interesting that I, the original poster, never made any statement whatsoever about age equating to maturity. I simply want an age mature guild. That is a statement somewhat akin to saying, I want an age mature wine ( meaning a wine that has been around on the shelf awhile)
I understand that. I think that Starien was addressing that issue when he posted:
I am a bit curious though - can you share your motivation behind seeking a guild that primarily houses older players? Describe any experiences you've had in the past which may have steered you in that direction.
In fact, if you'll note, my post follows up on this by saying:
If the OP is still reading this thread, I would recommend that he look at guilds in-game and get to know the people as opposed to just asking for "age mature guilds." Or, as Starien noted, let us know why he's asking for this type of guild so that we can direct him to guilds that might fit his criteria. If maturity/no drama is the issue and the OP is looking for a more mature environment, then just asking for guilds that have standards or expectations of maturity might be an appropriate solution.
What we were essentially asking you (the OP) for was if there was a reason behind your criteria or something that causes you to seek that type of guild so that we could better help you find one of those guilds in-game. For example, a guild like <The Indelibles> doesn't necessarily advertise themselves as an "age mature" guild, but if you said that you wanted a "fun, mature-ish social guild where casual players are welcome and people understand older references," I would have recommended them. If, on the other hand, you were looking for a "mature-oriented guild that allows cursing, sexual innuendo, and doesn't censor chat at all" I would have recommended another guild. The "age mature guild" criteria is rather broad and I think Starien and I wanted you to narrow it so that we could direct you better.
I understand that the discussion also involved the age != maturity aspect of things, but you have to understand that we, as a server, are easily distracted and it's been a good while since we've had an interesting discussion topic like that. =)

Yeah we definitely need to know more.
I think it's fairly safe to say though, that I do not know of ANY guild on the server that is exclusively 30+. So if that is a hard and fast criterion for wanting to join a guild, I know I certainly can't help. (Although one of my fellow Indelibles and I had been tossing around the notion of a 40+ guild called <Order of the Ancients> or something.)
Thing is though, while I was joking about 'not carding except for 3 forms of legal ID to prove age' -- how the heck do you guarantee that recruits are indeed 30+? Or female? Or <insert race>? It just seems like an awful lot of work to fill a roster with 'legit' players. I'm not really surprised to realize that I don't know of any such guild. =\

Sounds potentially interesting, perhaps I will look you up.
You're right, of course. I don't publicly advertise your guild on the forums as having a lot of sexual innuendo...I feel like there's a certain dwarf that does enough of that. So I highlight the, ahem, other aspects of your wonderful guild!
Did I mention that the Indelibles have Gnomes, and lots of them?
and most of them work for me!
edit: be looking for "Gnomes Gone Wild VII: Sha-Na-Naughty!" coming soon to GVD!

I didn't call you old, I promise Kytai! I just said that you understood older references...which means that you're just very knowledgeable!
Look what our guild did to Eohnavi's Reprisal recruitment thread. And I started that. Didn't even INTEND to.
In all fairness, Eohanvi topped it in the most epic manner ever. And he does have Fagerboozle in his guild. So Reprisal probably wins the innuendo referral hands-down.
