Why use oUF?

It seems like a lot of my favorite UIs use oUF but I do not understand the advantage. LUA is a lot more difficult to manipulate than Stuf or Pitbull. Does oUF save memory? Does it have features the others do not? Is it just the fun and control of doing your work in LUA?

Matter of preference for the most part. It takes a little more work than most other UF addons to set up a layout, but it's much more customizable than any of the others. You also don't need to worry about settings carrying over between characters, since it's all pretty much hard coded into the layout, or a layouts options if the author added them.
