Just got done healing through Scholomance.

Monk tank at first seems to be fond of pulling everything, and I do mean EVERYTHING. As in, all of the mobs around Chillbane.

Tank: You know, it'd be a lot easier if you guys would all hit the same target instead of DPSing different targets so I don't have to keep pulling aggro off you.
Me: .....

This was after the first trash pull. Those two skeleton mobs right in front? Yeah.

Needless to say, we wipe despite my efforts to heal myself and him at the same time. After a bit of a tanking lesson from me and the DPS, he pulled slower and smaller, even though he and the warrior DPS did end up dying to the ice explosion. Boss goes down with me, the mage, and the priest still alive, no problem.

Dungeon goes fine until the tank accidentally leaves some mobs behind after we take down Professor Slate. I admit, my yelling "DUDE" in all caps in chat probably wasn't the way to go, but all I saw was a wall of mobs headed straight for me. We manage to take care of them, though. Then this exchange:

Priest: You're doing a lot of crying. A monk tank can pull this entire instance no problem in heroics.
Me: How about I just not heal you?
Priest: I can heal myself and still top the DPS chart. You've probably got a bad 90 and you don't know how to play. Get good.

We down the boss and I leave. I'm glad he decided to save the attitude till the end.

Tonight was just awful, my gosh.

First instance, Gate of the Setting Sun. Dps is slow, like I mean OMG so slow I could easily outdps all of the actual dps as heals. We take absolutely forever on the first boss, with 3 people 20k OR LESS and I leave. I go do a battleground to pass the time I have left.

Second dungeon, Scarlet Halls. Tank is pulling slooooooow. DPS is low. So many adds up during Harlan I thought I was going to die for sure. Saved the mage from the whirlwind, then died myself to it misgauging where I was waiting for it to come back down and two other dps died. Barely barely killed that one. Finished off the dungeon albeit really slowly.

Decided to do an instance, that one you roll the barrels around and save people. One of them, the priest, said they hadn't been there before. I told them it was just 'follow the directions'. The hunter is doing something like 14k dps and the shadow priest, who I armory'd, was in all epics and dps trinkets and everything doing not much more. I did 5/6 of the barrels myself while they were screwing around killing some unnecessary trash (and taking forever to do so) when I decided holy crap this is awful I'll go shadow.

I don't have shadow gear, I do it in my healy gear mostly for questing. So, I outdpsed a shadow priest in dps gear by 10k to 15k depending on what we were doing. Just ugh a terrible night with dps seriously.

Decided to do a random Dungeon on this girl, healing for the lousy 60JP I would get, and the possibility of an upgrade this morning before work.

Zone into Temple of the Jade Serpent... Monk Tank is already at 1/4 health.

Tank dies before I catch up with him.

[Random Monk Tank - Hyjal] - Healer if you can not keep us up, I am gonna drop group now.
[member 1] - you ran ahead of the heals, they were not even zoned in
[member 1] - we just caught up with the group
etc etc etc.
[Random monk tank] - Why should we have to wait for some mouth breathing healer, we have to get this done before my bonus wears off.
[ME] - (stops all healing to allow the group to wipe) - Well then run back in (I die)

Drop group - go back to Org - Log off - make a cup of tea and get ready for work

So I was healing on a priest alt of mine today, she's in early LK dungeons. I have her main spec holy and OS as disc, because I like healing :p I usually switch to one or the other to keep from getting bored and stay used to both styles.

I do a few as holy, and am keeping everyone up with mostly just renew and the very occasional circle till I get in a group with a disc priest as dps, right when I was starting to feel the switch itch. Normally I would be complainy about a heal specced dps but he did top dps of the whole place and I had next to nothing to do with his atonement (he did no other healing at least) so when we que again with the same group I go disc too.

Of course two priests with atonement means I have to do next to nothing but smite, even after he leaves and I keep going atonement is just enough that I start to get bored again pretty quickly, so I came up with a new game.

Let's heal some dungeons as holy and in chakra:chastise!!! I did like ten more in chastise, only had to switch to sanc for one hairy spot with a very good tank pulling a ton of stuffs. Some very fast runs. Funny thing is think I did more dps as holy that way because of the damage buff in chastise to smite, did almost twice as much as my disc. Course without atonement I actually got to heal on occasion, yay!

Then I switched to my shaman alt that's in the mid 20s and had only 3 spells >.> A bit of healshock lol.

AAAAAND had only one absolutely jerk player the whole night , and a druid tank no less which I usually find to be enjoyable people. Maybe a Merry Xmas wow miracle? IDK.

DPSing monk wouldn't stop standing in bad stuff. I think he did it on purpose, actually. Like, he'd go out of his way to go run and stand in nasty looking purple puddles and the damaging water and whatnot. I asked him to please step out of it and what did I see?

"Hahaha."

I didn't bother trying to kick him because everyone else in the group was in the same guild.

I'd have just let him die and then if they kicked me, oh well.
I have little to no patience for childish behavior like that.

It all started with going into stormstout brewery.
I was going for the barrel at the time.
Zone in, tank runs and pulls the first pack and I start atonement healing, noticing that they were dying rather slow.
Whole run, 10k-15k each dps from all 3 dps, and they weren't even a group that queued together. The boomkin was apparently trying to heal as well dps for some reason, even when the group was topped off.
Me and the tank decided to tough it out, and had a near hour run through it.
The best part? Last boss had the regen mechanic, and none of the DPS wanted to switch to the adds. 10 min boss fight ftw

EDIT- Oh yah, know the last trash room in scholomance? Yah, really fun 90% of the time having 3 packs get pulled.

Got Shado Pan Monastery on my horde priest who is currently 87. We had a monk in group doing 70-80k dps and yep, it's a level 90. I figured without even looking they were probably a WW.

We get the first boss down ok but they brought me almost to my knees in mana during the fight. The "tank" immediately speeds off to pull most of the next mobs in the building there. I was still at 20% mp and had been attempting to drink but cancelled it to run after him but he dropped like a ton of bricks and died.

We finish off the adds with no other deaths, someone rezzes him and he leaves.

"Love dps that think they can tank just because they are 90" I said.

"He's an animal" said a mage from the same server as the monk.

"That doesn't mean you can tank" I replied. We get a paladin to replace that guy and the rest of the run goes rock solid, other than me being flagged as in combat from that room on and unable to drink. :/ Sigh. That happens a lot in that instance.

Off-topic: My poor Prot Paladin landed in an in-progress Heroic Siege. I'm zoned in at the very start and the other 4 are fighting Commander Vo'jak, the 3rd boss. I hoof it through the place to them, and the Feral Druid is trying to Bear tank and the Lock has her Blueberry out. The Druid shifts back to Cat when I get there, but the Lock felt it was too much trouble to change demons. She kept it out until a few pulls before the 3rd boss before realizing the mistake.

The main topic of the run was General Pa'valak. Both Bulwark phases, no one is throwing bombs. At all. Not at the boss, not at the adds. They just leave them on the ground and avoid the detonation. So I'm pulling all the adds into the bubble so they can be one-shot with the bombs, but like I said, zilch bombs. I eat it on the first Bulwark phase due to the add's bleed debuff, but the Druid brezes me and the 2nd Bulwark phase I'm more careful with certain CDs to clear the debuff. Fight ends, zero stacks of the debuff on the boss. -_-

On topic: I'm feeling better about healing on my Druid. I really should get my poor Priest up, but I'm finding Resto too distracting.

As do I! I don't understand why there wasn't a single person throwing bombs. I really should have done it myself, even though I was tanking.

I asked what the deal was, and the healer (HPally) was the only one that responded: "idk, i just heal".

Let's heal some dungeons as holy and in chakra:chastise!!!

That is all I do. Grab FDCL and it is very good for 5 mans.

That free instant flash / free instant flash/ super Gheal or PoH is one of the best combos in the game for a small group heals, if it procs when needed.

Just got out of a heroic Mogu'shan Palace on my HPally, with the squishiest tank I've seen in ages. As in, 'using guard was a foreign concept to him, he used his statue all of once, and even with angel bro spamming divine lights for me, sac/wings on CD etc, he was constantly floundering below 30%'. Now, my pally isn't amazingly geared (around 450), so when the tank went a-leaping over the wall before Gekkan, with me sitting at 40% mana from trash, I knew it would probably not end amazingly. This was the sort of tank where if you even thought of looking at another person, he'd fall over in an instant. Long story short, we wipe. Hunter feigns death, and tries to mass rez without moving away from where the boss respawned. So we rez'd right back into a wipe. Run back.

We get to the boss - and I get a chance to put a blue square marker on the hexxer - that guy is always a pain, and I figured if I could keep it occupied with Repentance, or the hunter could trap it, it would make it bearable. The tank saw that as a sign to run in and pull everything. Luckily, the oracle stayed away from the group, so I could at least CC him.

But jeez, just those tanks who leave me feeling like they're constantly on the edge of death, regardless of my CD usage, and forced Flash/Divine spam. It just unnerves me.

--

Before that, I got into a Shado-pan Monastery with a DPS DK who didn't understand why I didn't even attempt to heal through him standing in Fists of Fury. Priest pointed out that as a melee, he should be behind the boss anyway. As is the standard, the DK stood it every little thing he could - I just stopped dispelling him in the end.

The priest was nice though - the sort where you know they've healed before at some point - I got a Hymn of Hope when I was having mana trouble, and he life gripped Derpy the DK out of Sha trash, to buy me some seconds to heal him back up. I love it when I find DPS like that <3

But jeez, this is why I usually avoid solo queueing. But Lin needs geeear, and my pocket-tank is away from christmas D:

Got out of Shadow Pan Monastery on my BM hunter alt with a group made up of a DK tank, lock, warrior and a disc priest. Do to her not being 90, and instances like this, I've kept the misdirect glyph. The first pull was horrible with the tank only attacking the mob that calls all the others. Aggro is jumping around all over the place even after using MD on the tank. So i call out my turtle pet, pop my burst macro and misdirect to him. I keep this up while spamming multishot, pop a mend pet, and now my turtle has the aggro on everything BUT the one mob the tanks attacking. The healer picked up on it really fast and starts to heal my pet while I pop its survival cds. After all was said and done the tank says "TURN YOUR PETS GROWL OFF NOOB!"

I inform the tank that its growl is indeed off do to the stampede cd. He gets all huffy about it and pulls the next group in the shame fashion.

Needless to say this went on the entire dungeon. The only thing my pet didn't tank were the bosses since I figured he could handle at least that much.

I felt bad for the healer, and the dps as well, but the healer moslty. He never complained about healing my pet, just asked when he started to run low to get a drink. At least the tank stopped for that right?

Derpy the DK

"I just don't know what went wrong."

But I do see that a lot. When a dps isn't moving out of something (like Snowdrift's Fists of Fury, Liu Flameheart's Jade Fire, every damn inch of Xin the Weaponmaster's room, etc) it's usually a DK.

For the past week, I've been gearing up my druid for alt raid. It's been somewhat difficult for me to get the hang of. I'm used to single target bombing people and learning to trust my HoTs to heal people is really out of my comfort zone. But, I am getting better! Most groups have gone really well. One stood out though.

I zone into Scarlet Monastery with a druid tank his three guildy dps. I warn them that my gear isn't very good and that if they don't have the patience for me, I can leave. They say to stay and that I'll do fine. Everything is going smoothly until we get to the courtyard. I'm not exactly sure what happened or how the extra groups got pulled, but they did. I managed to keep us alive for about, oh, a minute or two. I somehow get aggro on the mobs that the tank had and they come over to say hello. We wipe. If I was on Songs, we would have been fine, but on my poor little druid, there was nothing I could do to save it. I was dead in a matter of seconds.

We run back and before I could get mana, the tank goes charging back in. He pulls whatever didn't die and somehow, we manage to survive this time.

Tank: You did better that time! Trial by fire is the best way to learn how to heal.
Me: That wasn't very nice.
Tank: Yeah, but now you're better at druid healing.
Me: I hate you.
Tank: Good. Now you're really going to hate me.

He pulls the boss plus all the monks and I literally go into panic auto-heal mode. He pulled the entire room before Whitemane and I'm freaking out. Then to top it all off, none of them interrupted her mass resurrection, so that went off. In my panic, I had forgotten that I could interrupt, but yeah, my bad. 5 very stressful minutes later, I'm oom and we're all hovering at about 50% health.

Tank: That'll do pig. That'll do.
Me: I'm not a pig. And I either hate you or love you right now. Not sure which.
Tank: Then I did my job. BYE!

I don't like trial by fire. :(

I actually have a good story.

My guildy just hit 90 so we zone into a few heroics before I go to work. First couple, nothing of note. Then we zone into Brewery. Prior to pulling I see this:

Tank: /y I have no tank gear!!!

So, normally I don't inspect people unless something arises... But I figure this qualifies. So, I look and sure enough it's all pvp/dps gear with an epic quality shield... Ilvl 251. So, I'm thinking great... This'll be stressful. As it turned out, he was fine. Took more damage than most, but it was alright. No deaths. Ran another with him afterwards
