  • Entry into the brawler’s guild is by invitation only. Invitations can be found on the black market auction house, by invitation from somebody within the guild, and occasionally as drops from certain Horde and Alliance NPCs.

No doubt from the Krasarang Operations, to give incentive to do those dailies. Thank you for the update, Daxx. Will they be bop or boe?

so nobody will be able to get into the brawler's guild unless black market rng is on our side, and are a millionaire?

You missed the part of your quote that added there being npc drops, but meh. Now we have other ways of entry besides gold. Can we address the queuing system? Paradoxically easier entry means longer lines. How exactly will this system work, Daxx?
Having them drop from faction leaders would be interesting. Would certainly give some incentive for world PvP!

Depending on how bad the drop rate is, this won't change much, honestly. The majority of players will still have to wait for days, weeks, perhaps months, before they're able to access content that should be readily available.

Instead, or in addition, you could have added some sort of daily/weekly quest where a skilled player could attempt to gain entry by, say, defeating a very difficult creature in a solo battle (and they'd better know their class damn well to even stand a chance of doing so).

This would be in tone with what the content is about, and the majority of players would still not be able to all go in at the same time; but at least they would have something to do while they waited. And those few who were able to succeed the quest would be allowed to readily access the content without relying on a) having a ton of money, b) knowing someone who has a ton of money (and is willing to spend it), or c) RNG.

I'm not sure you're trying very hard to see the big picture here. There's more than 2 ways into the brawlers guild - if you

(I stopped about 20 words in because apparently thats where you stop reading. Didnt wanna waste my time.)

If it's not intended to be progression style content, it sounds to me like it's the solo version of challenge modes. My only question about the Brawler's Guild is this:

Will gear levels be throttled for the fights so that progression raiders and/or PvPers have no preexisting advantage, and the bragging rights are solely based on player skill?

Daxx, it still has not been made clear if the invites are individual or account level.

Also thank you for the addition of alternate means to get in the Brawler's Guild, but you are still missing the point by leaving the invites on the Black Market Auction House. It will still feel like a rich kids club.

Judging by the majority of the posters in this thread and the 39 pages of concerns, this is definitely a step in the right direction, but still falling short.

I know you don't want design by democracy, but this buy your way in mess is against the very spirit of the BraG pure and simple. Please let us know if this has been delivered to the powers that be and if they understand why this feature, while intended to be a small thing, is something much bigger.

Also please be concrete, we are all big girls and boys, we just want the truth. If the developers choose to ignore our pleas for equality, they are within their rights to do so, we just want to know so we can move on.

So in all reality. The people that break the EULA, and buy gold will be the only people in the Brawler's Guild. Im on the PTR. Invites are upwards of 50k. This is real bull!@#$ guys. Its gonna be about who has the money, not the skills. Those invitations players will get... yeah.. "WTS BRAWLER'S GUILD INV. STARTING PRICE IS 100k. PST"

Way to make an awesome idea suck. Thanks.

And this right here is what you don't understand about the aim of Brawler's Guild. It is NOT supposed to be readily available to everyone, it is supposed to be semi-exclusive to start and grow from there.

This is no different than unique armor sets, mounts, or other such perks coming from difficult or rare sets of circumstances. Brawler's Guild in and of itself is meant to be exclusive in WoW and it allows others to watch, jeer, cheer, etc while it happens.

All this says is:

"I want a method of entry that is guaranteed without having to 'waste' money, rely upon someone else, or do the NPC farming game. Let me do a quest and get in for sure."

Wait until the 3rd or 4th day and check BMAH prices, lurk down in the guild area and see who is doing it and see if you can negotiate a deal, and/or camp the NPCs that drop the item. You have equal opportunity to do these things with the entire rest of the server, and as each day passes the Invitations will come down in price, more people will hand them out more freely, and the NPC camping will lessen.

Besides... you've nothing higher than a lvl85... I'd suggest getting to lvl90 first before complaining about barriers to entry.
