(A-RP) <The Scarlet Hammer> Level 25!

The monotonous, constant sounds of plated greaves falling upon cobblestone filled the Plaguelands, disturbing what was often naught but silence. It was accompanied by the lazy trotting of horses, and the rustling of chain mail. The Crusaders moved as one, a sign of hope amongst the once proud lands of Lordaeron. At their head was a towering, heavily armored figure, mounted upon a warsteed. And though it was not obvious by their beckoned silence, the Crusaders returned from what most would consider a victory. A hallow one, at that.

It had been a bloody, unforgiving war. For three months, former Brothers and Sisters slaughtered one another, their true cause forgotten in a haze of zeal. Seas of red and white clashed throughout the dead glades of their homeland, giving no quarter to those whom they once stood beside. It was a dreaded war. No true Crusader sought the death of their comrades, whilst the damned lurked within spitting distance. Memories of the final battle lurked within the minds of Hammersmen, weighing heavily upon their shoulders.

Those of the Highlord, especially. His thoughts were plagued by the blood that sullied his gauntlets, that would forever stain the annals of the Crusade. He would not celebrate the defeat of Whitemane and her loyalists, nor would any other of his ranks. Their victory served only to redirect the Crusade to its righteous cause, no more.

A heavy sigh escaped the towering figure, knit brows hidden beneath the grim visage of the faceplate he wore. There would be much to do, in the coming months. Morale was at the lowest he had ever seen, the troops sullen with grief. Yet, they would press on, as they always had. Time and time again, the Crusade had been struck down, their flame nearly snuffed. And time and time again, they had risen from the ashes. They stood defiant, an unmoving bastion, in the face of the forces of Hell itself. The First to Charge, and the Last to Retreat..

“Hold.” The Highlord’s voice echoed throughout the Plaguelands, the forces behind him coming to a halt. He looked to the gates of Tyr’s Hand, aged Scarlet Crusade banners blowing in the wind. After a brief exchange, the gates creaked open, stalwart guardsmen standing at attention, in the face of their leader. Joffrey merely nodded, tugging on the reigns of his steed as he pressed on.

Home, at last.

~Out of Character~

<The Scarlet Hammer> is a roleplaying guild based upon the Scarlet Crusade, and its original ideals, before any sort of corruption. In this post and the next, I'll be listing ranks, rules, expectations, and so forth.

Website: scarlethammer.shivtr.com *Note-Applications are REQUIURED for an In-character interview and entry.*

Contacts: Joffrey, Cassarian, Purius, Ailardan, Carnun, Ardgerim.

Ranks:

Highlord-The leader of the Hammer, and the bulk of the Crusade's forces. His word is law. (The Guild leader.)

Highlord's Hand-Advisor to the Highlord. Often meets with the Council to determine the actions and direction of the Crusade. (Co-GM on an OOC level. Position filled by Cassarian.)

Council-A member of the Council of the Crusade, serving as officers and heads of the various sects. (Officer of the guild, 1-5 at any time. Currently filled by Ailardan, Carnun, Alburton and Purius.)

Champion-Champions of the Crusade, who have proven themselves with dedicated service. Handpicked by the Highlord and his Council. (Sub-officer of the guild, 1-5 at any time.)

Oathsworn-Those who have been found worthy of advancing to a rank of higher prestige than the other Crusaders shall be known as Oathsworn. (Highest obtainable non-officer related rank. Given to those who have shown IC and OOC participation, and dedication to the guild. First rank able to create events. 1-15 at any given time.)

Crusader-Crusaders are full fledged Brothers and Sisters, who have passed the trials of an Initiate. They make for the bulk of the Hammer's forces, serving in whatever sect is found needing their talents. (Basic rank attained after two weeks of IC and OOC participation as an Initiate. 1-Many.)

Initiate-Brothers and Sisters who have only recently joined the order. They will remain Initiates, till they have proven themselves worthy of moving onward as Crusaders. (Will move on to Crusader after a two week probationary period, in which they must participate on an IC and OOC basis with the guild. 1-Many.)

Auxiliary-This rank is for the civilians of the Crusade, serving as craftsmen and laborers. Also included, are those who have found favor with the Crusade, and are permitted to fight alongside them throughout their campaigns. (Used for those not directly within the Crusade itself. 1-Many.)

((OOC))-Generally used for alts of members. 1-Many.

Sects:

Military Sect-The military sect serves as the sword and shield of the Crusade, filled with soldiers of all types. Whether it be infantry, cavalry, marksmen, or magi, they will find a home amongst this sect. Position temporarily vacant.

Clerical Sect-The clerical sect is the heart of the Crusade, housing preachers, monks, Clergymen, and the like. In times of peace, they preach to the masses, and do missionary work, spreading the Light's eternal word. In times of war, they stay behind the front lines, aiding fallen soldiers with salves, giving blessings to the troops. Position temporarily vacant.

Inquisitorial Sect-Since the founding of the Crusade, the Inquisitors have been the eyes and ears. They serve as an intelligence force, always watching enemies, and potential enemies. They are widely feared and respected, for their inquisitions, and keep the troops in line. Those who seek to keep the Crusade proud and pure will find a home here. Headed by Grand Inquisitor Ailardan Grenn. (Ailardan.)

Crimson Legion- The Crimson Legion has always served as the Highlord's fist, a dangerous, highly trained force of veterans. They are filled with soldiers from all other sects, who have shown that they have the skill to be amongst the elite. Willing to do whatever it takes to bring forth the righteous justice of the Crusade, the Legion is a force to be reckoned with. Position currently filled by Crusader Lord Ardgerim Coalbrow. (Ardgerim)

Allowed races /classes: Humans, dwarves, and high elves are openly accepted. Worgen will be accepted if, and only if, their worgen form is entirely out of character. Meaning, they roleplay as a human. On a rare, case-by-case basis, other races may be allowed in as an auxiliary, privileged to fight alongside the Crusade.

Allowed classes are rogues, warriors, paladins, priests, monks, hunters, mage, and warlock. Warlocks will only be allowed in if they are roleplaying as a fire mage.

Member and Officer Rules:
No griefing of opposite faction; this includes, killing quest NPCs, griefing enemy cities, pulling packs of mobs onto people for the purpose of killing them, and/or stealing herbalism and mining nodes, as well as quest objectives.
No use of language for the purpose of offending someones racial, sexual or religious orientation.
We understand ERP does happen; please keep it out of public eye. When in doubt, take it to party chat or whispers.
While in a public place, remember you are baring our guild tag beneath your name; set a good example for yourself, and the guild.
Always be on your best behaviour; courteous, accepting, and patient of others. (Remember, not everyone is the same as YOU)
Trolling, or griefing others on the forums, or in trade chat will NOT be tolerated.
Keep all OOC chatter in Officer Chat, or Party chat.
Treat others the way YOU would want to be treated.
Corpse camping is not tolerated during RP-PvP events or otherwise; we will not have our guild known for poor etiquette or sportsmanship.
Do not spam ANY channel; this includes trade, general or guild chat.
Constructive criticism is encouraged in OOC in regards to roleplay; however respect their decision not to abide by your advice.
You may not initiate and IC fight, without OOC permission.
You may not misuse the Cathedral, the square, Tyr's Hand, or any place where people are role-playing by jumping around, or any usual OOC actions.
There is absolutely no place for conflict in guild chat; please take it to whispers.
Members of <The Scarlet Hammer> are disallowed from being abrasive on the public forums or in any way out-of-character. We refuse to participate in this nonsense.
Drama threads are not to be posted on; however if you MUST, you will do so in a way that does not sully our guild tag. This does not mean get on an alt forum tag, this means disassociate yourself and all of your characters from the guild.

As an auxiliary? Perhaps. But not within the ranks of the Crusade itself. If he proved himself worthy, then he'd be allowed to fight with us, and seek refuge within our encampments. Again, that's on a case-by-case basis.
