I remember actually buying mechanohogs and sandstone drakes from you for every toon I had before the whole account wide mounts(ouch on wasting all that gold but it was to a person who I could tell was legit).
I saw others trying to undercut you n so forth and I would spend the extra to buy yours.
I would randomly say hi and such and you always were polite.
Sad to see you quit the game(not the forums :p) But hopefully you find happiness somewhere.
And if you ever feel like telling a random proudmoore player some tips on gold making or anything else you care to ever rant about just let me know :P
But in the end if you ever would like a friend who isn't after anything of yours then let me know I would be glad to talk to a sincere person as yourself.
dude read all through your post! I gotta say I admire your tenasity for a growing problem! but dont turn around on it now stay in the game man it can be good again but if people like you leave whos gonna be there to show others. I always try to help others when i can spare some gold or things with from what i have i know how you feel. You gotta see it out man ull regret it if you dont.
Am a little late to this party!
To mirror many similar sentiments Max - always enjoyed dealing with you, sincerely hope one day to see you back in the game.
Having toons that play the AH on multiple servers, I completely understand the frustration, the higher population servers seem pretty bloody painful at present.
I don't know you personally, Max, but your transfer FAQ convinced me to come to Proudmoore. It was the best WoW-decision I ever made. It feels like home, and I've met some amazing people. On day one, you were hanging on the bank steps on your tiger like a boss, and you gave me a warm welcome when I whispered you. It set the tone for my new realm, and I really appreciated it. :)
Best o' luck to ya, mate!
Max, For quite a few months, from last xpac to the current, i have wheeled and dealed with you. You were always polite and an amazing person to talk to, when asked for advice you always responded with polite points and hints on how to make gold in wow, at the start of this patch i had made a cold hard 140k.. not much to many players who make this weekly / monthly or even daily for yourself. but it was mostly accredited to you the tips and hints you shared allowed me to create the highest earnings i have ever made in the history of myself playing this game, Sadly i lost it all in the downfall of crappy websites selling the items i was crafting and selling way cheaper then what i could make them. I have also felt the punch of these people, You will be missed by Proudmoore.
Goodluck in your future gains. either it be wow or another game, just don't go to D3. god that game sucked.
I knew something was different when I joined Mop. A shroud of darkness and deserted feeling. No one there in a full server, recruitment low, progress not what it used to be. After reading your post, I now know what is missing. It's missing people such as yourself, people who just radiated with love of the game, the realm, and most importantly the players who inhabit it.
Without people like you always on forums guiding us Immigrants (such as myself) on what to read, what guilds would be in our interest, and how to lay a foundation for newly transfers.
Without your aura that you brought to the game and the server I fear Proudmoore once revered will go into the graveyards of realms and become a thing of the past, and become a typical server similar to the next. Something that I will never be able to experience first hand.
I can't put words to how I feel with you not being around, that it brings tears to my eyes as I'm writing this. I am sincere from the bottom of my heart things could not work out. I hope one day you will return and I will sense the clouds parting, and wonder why it feels the clouds are departing just as they had come.
Thank you so very much for all you have done to the server and it's constituents, some aspects will stay true with us but it will never be the same without you.
I wish you astronomical success in your future endeavors and hope one day I feel your aura. Long live Maxdps. Long live Proudmoore.
(sorry for any errors, I typed this on my phone.)
