You know, the terrifying thing is...Kerr's ego isn't the biggest I've seen.
Take it as you will. No comments from Aak please. |

This certainly is amusing.

yes it was about them, and yes that thread was pretty hilarious.
pretty much 95% of general forums posters are dog !@#$ and do not actually play this game and they find the idea of playing this game successfully to be the kind of thing that only sociopaths and pedophiles do. |

i think i spoke to you about that too
but hey obviously they know what they're talking about! |

I've tried to queue for the new LFR thinking "well, mebbe I can get a few pieces to cover what I'm missing." Every queue that pops is at 2/6 cleared. One of our tanks was talking about how yesterday, the guy in his lfr that got fixated on by garalon kept attacking the legs, so garalon just spun in a giant circle of doom for about 30 seconds. It made me consider taking a 2/6 queue just to lol. Do they need to nerf it, or do people need to not be morons? edit: And yes Aak, I am looking stylish! I have a professional stylist dontchaknow. |

People need to not be morons. My post was entirely sarcastic.
Incoming wall of Joy-text: First day out, I queue up. Get 2/6. That's cool, I don't mind. Pretty normal for LFR. Take the queue. I was the last one added to the group so they're just waiting for me to run in. There were enough skeletons to show the group had wiped 2-3 times already. We wipe. Half the group leaves. We sit around waiting close to a half hour, group never fills past 22 but we do have 2/2 tanks, 6/6 healers, and 14/17 DPS. WTF? No DPS in queue? Whoever heard of such a thing? Group doesn't want to wait longer so we pull with 22 and down him. Easy peasy. I have my end boss kill and can now requeue to get my "guaranteed" fresh run to get the first two bosses. "Your Looking for Raid Group has formed. 2/6 bosses dead." Leave queue. Requeue. "Your Looking for Raid Group has formed. 2/6 bosses dead." Leave queue. Requeue. "Your Looking for Raid Group has formed. 2/6 bosses dead." Leave queue. Requeue. "Your Looking for Raid Group has formed. 2/6 bosses dead." Leave queue. Requeue. "Your Looking for Raid Group has formed. 2/6 bosses dead." Leave queue. Requeue. This goes on for an hour before I get 0/6. New group is wiping on the trash, wiping on the bosses but only a couple leave along the way, everyone else sticks it out. We finally makes it to Garalon. We wipe. Half the group leaves. I'm about to say something that has the potential to offend a lot of people so let me clarify in advance. There are a lot of players who genuinely enjoy the dailies content and are still good players in their own right. I have nothing against them, there's so much content in this game and different players enjoy different things. When I start talking about "dailies kids", I'm talking about the players who feel entitled to everything they want and not to have to put any effort into being skilled at what they're doing - which is why they love dailies because now they're getting their shiny epics without having to do any content which requires any actual skill. I blame the LFR problem on raid level epics only be handed out as rewards to the dailies kids . Players who aren't doing dailies for rep and don't have a normal mode raid to have been getting normal mode drops can't queue for LFR yet. The odds of having the right RNG to pick up nine 476 items to go with 7 heroic dungeon blues to make 470 this soon into the expansion are very low. MSV alone won't do it for most players because the loot tables aren't robust enough for most specs. They'll have to buy their crafted gear and BoE world drops which means a player would have to have a lot of gold as well. Yet Blizzard says that VP gear is totally optional, in no way necessary for any player to progress in any part of the game, that heroic dungeon blues and crafted items are enough to get you started. Sure, as long as you're happy settling for MSV LFR. So LFR is filled with 2 types of players: raiders who are used to killing things in normal/heroic modes, and dailies kids who only know how to faceroll through content and zerg through killing things because dailies don't ask more from them. Raiders know Garalon is a easy kill. You just need 2 competent kiters, and everyone else to stay away from the pheromone trail and out of the purple circle under the boss. They don't leave group after a wipe, they stick it out. They keep all the 2/6 groups going that keep popping up for everyone's queue. Dailies kids can only handle tunnel-visioning the boss itself. They can't handle simple mechanics. They shouldn't be raiding at all. But because Blizzard chose to give them the shiny epics over players who actually do things that require skill, they feel that they are awesome players who put hard work into earning things and deserve their shiny epics and the right to be in LFR over others. They're the entitled ones who feel they deserve easy mode kills and drop group at the first sign of trouble because they're not the ones that are the problem, it's everyone else around them. They keep the 2/6 queues in the system because they can't handle dealing with simple mechanics or the thought of wiping so they don't accept the queue. And then finally you have the "casually" skilled players who do play well and would be an asset to a LFR group in geting the kill - but have been locked out of participation by Blizzard simply because they aren't mindless sheep willing to take it in the !@# and do mindnumbingly boring dailies over and over and over again for VP gear. Blizzard promised them that not doing dailies wouldn't lock them out of progression. This week showed how good at twisting words the PR spin doctors are. Technically they aren't locked out. They just have to wait an extra 6 weeks or so for RNG to catch up for them. But in the meantime, they aren't there to populate LFR queues and help actually kill Garalon so The Dread Approach is a sea of 2/6. |
