I've been wracking my head around making a melee dps character. I honestly don't want to do a DK or a Pally.
Ignoring the FoTM and PvP between the rogue or the warrior which is the better choice for PvE?
Also let me just ask out of the two which is easier to play? If all I want to do is come home from work and kill an hour or two running heroics or maybe try LFR. Which spec/class has the easier rotation/playstyle?
No illusions of grandure or ever being hardcore. Just want to come home and hit things with a weapon without wanting to pull my hair out.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I like to base my choices on the amount of information there is available so that I can do research, so my suggestion to you is: look up on sites and on youtube for information on either class, try them out to level 20 or so, then make your decision.
Swifty is a famous alliance warrior on youtube - he posts a lot of good information and entertaining videos.
That is his link ^^
Personally, I would go with the warrior.
>Swap between DPS and TANK role
>Be able to take on more mobs at once
>Nice self-heals so you wont need a healer all the time
The rogue, in my opinion, is very much a 3 button smash fest. However, that being said, I have never played a rogue into the late or end game.

1 Troll Rogue
There's no reasonable case to be made that a rogue will ever have the utility that a warrior does. But if you're looking to play one well, you're going to need *slightly* more than 3 hotkeys.
I personally think PvP and raiding with a rogue is a lot of fun. Leveling one is a serious !@#$% though.
