Info re:what the various chat filters display

Is there some documentation somewhere explaining what the various filters in General Chat (and other tabs) actually are supposed to display? There are a gaggle of them and no explanation anywhere regarding what enabling or disabling a given filter actually does :-o

The filters will show garbled things such as !@#$%^&*() rather than inappropriate language. The filters still do not give you the right to use such language as it is against the ToU chat policies,

The different filters represent different chat channels that display in your window. Usually they're pretty self explanatory; if there are any you'd like help with let us know. You can find a list of the commonly used chat channels at the bottom of the Advanced Chat FAQ page: https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/advanced-chat-faq

Most of them show pretty much what they are labeled as. The say filter shows what is said in /say, the channels show what is said in those channels, the combat items show messages related to those actions such as experience gains, reputation gains, etc.

Was there a particular one that was unclear?

Specifically:

Under 'General'; 'Settings'; 'Other';
In the 'Combat' section what will 'Opening'; 'Pet Info' and 'Misc Info' show?

Rather vague titles.

I was actually looking to see if there was some filter that affected in-game mail. It used to be that when you looted an item from mail, you saw text in the general chat telling you what was put into inventory. This text no longer displays. Seems it went the way of the dodo, pity since I liked to have that text to refer to if I opened a lot of mails with items in them.
