[H-RP] <Four Winds> - Honoring Thrall's Way

IC:

Towards the end of the Third War, four clans of Tauren, Forsaken, Orcs, and Trolls fought under the banner of Rexxar, Champion of the Horde. Over the course of their campaign, these warriors grew closer together. First comrades in arms fighting side by side, they grew to be brothers and sisters of the Horde, then more. By the time Rexxar's forces had ended the threat of Grand Admiral Proudmoore (restoring Theramore Isle to its rightful ruler, Jaina), these four clans were inseparable, sharing a familial bond that transcended blood.

They formalized that bond, becoming one clan, drawn together seemingly from the four winds. Since that time, the Four Winds have made a name for themselves as protectors of the Horde's lands, watchguards against the Emerald Nightmare, and loyal followers of Warchief Thrall. They have welcomed in brothers and sisters from the Blood Elves, Goblins, and recently even the Pandaren. However, they have earned the ire of Warchief Hellscream's followers as well since that time, with high ranking members of their clan actively speaking out against Garrosh's reign and actions even during the time of the Cataclysm.

Now, a mere ghost of their former glory, the Four Winds seek to regroup. To seek out those of like mind who follow the ways of their beloved former Warchief, and those who have become dissatisfied with Garrosh's rule. For the ways of their clan demand it. And there's that blood oath made to their fallen ally to honor as well.

OOC:

<Four Winds> was founded in 2005, on Lightninghoof RP-PvP, the day after that server went live. We are a level 20 guild (EDIT: 21 now!) with 7 bank tabs, whose members strive to better themselves by following the virtues of Family, Intelligence (Critical Thought), Respect, and Maturity.

We are looking for active, like-minded RPers to join our ranks, as well as IC contacts and organizations with which to ally.

There is one caveat.

Four Winds is rebuilding OOCly as well as ICly. Activity among our core members is strong, but there's a reason why we're recruiting active members. We have events planned out, but as those core members are rebuilding their presence on this server, raiding and other top-level content will be difficult to organize at the moment. We have an open RP event upcoming in which the Four Winds will be leaving their clan hall in Durotar for Mulgore, and another, more festive RP event centered around Winter's Veil as well. We also have another event coming up of a different type: an RP Tutorial night, which will be discussed in a different thread. Those wishing to join or ally with us, please bear these things in mind before doing so.

If you'd like to contact us in game either by whisper or mail, our officer structure is as follows:
Co-Guild Masters: Kathemiren and Coloth/Shannondryl
Elders: Flinthoof/Tidehoof and Shaesora/Gripp

I'll also be regularly checking this thread! For now: thank you for reading, and may the Winds be at your back!

No offence but the Forsaken weren't in the Horde for that battle.

*nods* This is known. We tend to "gloss" over this detail, as the original guild leader left in 2006 and didn't give us much info on what he had in mind for this particular story element, but we have since developed in-guild lore surrounding this. It is a justification, but we feel compelled to preserve the guild's history.

ICly, there was one "clan" of Forsaken who left Lordaeron. They left to chase down Arthas in Northrend, but were caught in the Maelstrom and ended up on Durotar's shores. These Forsaken joined Rexxar's cause as he traveled between Orgrimmar and Mulgore, but as there were so few of them, they were not represented in the history of the time.

Not to bump my own thread (okay, well maybe a little...) but the topic has come up of organizing a resistance against Garrosh. If anyone is interested in that sort of RP, of bringing back the Horde to Thrall's ways, <Four Winds> would be a great guild to join. Our members have been frustrated with Garrosh since before the Cataclysm, even organizing protests on our previous server.

Because of the events occurring at Domination Point, Four Winds is also planning on vacating its traditional clan hall in Durotar, in favor of Mulgore.
