Hi
I'm having issues with MAC OS 10.8.2 retina MBP and WOW after loading 5.1 today, I cannot start the application. I have tried to run both the launcher and the app, once I start them the app just beachballs and gives me the not responding error.
I have run disk utilities and restarted the Mac but nothing seems to work.
any suggestions?

Have you tried to reset your permissions?

Reset the permissions on your World of Warcraft folder
    1. Select the World of Warcraft folder
    2. Press Command + I
    3. In the Info box, go to the Sharing & Permissions section and click on the lock and unlock it, entering your admin password when prompted.
    4. Make sure you have Read & Write permissions
    5. Click on the Action icon (cog wheel) and select Apply to enclosed items

Getting same issue; happened before patch intermittent heavy after patch.

Screen is tearing, computer not responding, lines across screen with what ever color was prominent (eg if in org, red orenge and black lines.). Also use Thunderbolt Display but disconnecting doesn't appear to fix. Have done all troubleshooting steps listed in thread, have also format and reinstalled, repaired permissions and tried with no addons (cringe).

No error report available as only way to fix is hard reset turning off and on again. Error logs in system files are not helpfull.

Monitor temps via desktop program, gpu is highest at 89 degrees. Also run SMC fan control to push fan speeds higher.

If isn't a wow issue, there is a 10% chance is my graphics card. Interesting side note I have the same build as OP. i7 3.4 16gb ram 2gb card (don't know model off hand on iPhone ATM) and 1tb hard drive (recent replace).

Have you tried lower settings to see if the issue persists? This may help in locating where the error is coming from.
