Where are all the guild invites coming from?

I'm returning to WoW after four years of not playing, and every time I log on a bunch of guild invites come my way. I'll even try to ask the people inviting me what the deal with their guild is, and I hear nothing back. It seems a bit spammy.
It didn't used to be like this, at least not on servers I ever really went on. What gives? |

Yeah, I noticed that too when I make my fake Weldogs guys.
You get guild invites along with a whisper. By someone usually not even in the same zone. Must be some kind of add on I would guess. It happens as soon as my screen loads up. If you go to your Interface settings you can toggle on "Auto block guild invites". That should help. |

What Birmon said. It's an addon that they use to try and get as many members as they can. There's a guild perk that puts money in the gbank from you questing and looting. Either join a 25 guild to get all of the perks or block ginvites.
