Beastmaster Quests

These items you can buy for 30 Domination Point commissions give you a daily that:

1. Takes for ever to complete because the drop rate is below totally awful

2. If you do not complete before daily reset, you lose the item and have to spend another 30 commissions to get a new one

3. Do NOT award any rep with Operation: Shieldwall

So, the point in bothering to complete these is? I can't see one, I'm trying real hard and it just isn't there.

So, for #3, the blues sort of explained it yesterday. One person per server needs to take the pain and do one of each Beastmaster quest and capture the beast, bring it back to the dude.

Then EVERY PLAYER on the server can fight that type of animal in the pit for the daily quest.

Or no one can. As is the case on Vashj right now. Personally captured all 3, then a Hunter called Knicks did the same thing. No one can trigger the fight today. A mage named Aramus killed them yesterday, but could also not trigger it today.

is that how it really work? i thought once you turn in the quest you can get the option to summon one and kill it.

so a small amount of people every day can do it then? because if so that's pretty lame.

What happens when you turn the quest in after you have "captured" a beast is it is put into a cage. If you do nothing else it will just stay in the cage. Multiple people can capture beasts and have them appear in the cages. Any time there is a beast in the cage you are supposed to be able to ask to fight that type of beast. Anyone can engage the beast after it comes out of the cage. All who have engaged the beast before it dies will be offered a quest appropriate for the beast that actually offers 200 rep. You need not be in a group to engage the beast and qualify for the winning quest. You can only get "a battle the beast" quest once per day, so if you got one for the crane, for example, doing the tiger and/or crab will offer you nothing. When you defeat a beast you will get a beast-specific buff for 30 minutes that helps in Krasarang Wilds.

Basically someone has to be willing to do the drudgery to capture a beast for others to be able to benefit from it. However, if that beast has been released from the cage it will be gone, and more beasts will need to be put in the cages to be released for combat. So, just because someone ten hours ago captured a crab, it does not mean there will be a crab available now for you to fight.
