Same thing with me and I have gotten the one I blacklisted 3 times in a row now...

I just got a WSG I blacklisted and each time it says "Failed to blacklist PvP map".
I hate WSG and Eots, I'd rather not have them.

the known issue regarding blacklisting:

Down voted battlegrounds are not being saved when the character logs out, and may cause an error the next time the character down votes battlegrounds. To resolve this, re-toggle the downvote.

But there is no acknowledgement in regards to people still being placed in blacklisted bg's after re-toggling the downvote. So.. bump because i'm still getting stuck in blacklisted bg's after re-toggle, addon removal (completely deleted) along with the cache, wtf and interface folders.

Reloading your UI does seem to help with this issue. Just tested it, since it wouldn't let me blacklist Twin Peaks or The Battle for Gilneas (because I hate them so) and it did fix the problem.

To clarify: I highlight Twin Peaks and The Battle for Gilneas, it reads "Failure to Blacklist PvP Map". I reload, Arathi Basin and Warsong Gulch are highlighted. Unchecked those two, rechecked my preferred. Fixed.

i just black listed them once and got the error but tried a few anyway and havent gotten the black listed maps yet so maybe its just a text bug?

Nah. I blacklisted Silvershard Mines and Twin Peaks... and I got Silvershard Mines followed by Twin Peaks. It was terrific............... Not.

Can be worked around by:

1) Attempt to blacklist the maps you want to blacklist, receive error message
2) Type "/reload" in chat box without quotes
3) Remove the blacklist-check from the map list (ie remove red hand), and then re-set them again (no error message)
4) Queue for random BG - it works

Sticky this please. And someone might want to inform the guys in the US-thread.

Same problem here, but if I disable all my addons and it goes away. Also, I can confirm it is actually failing to blacklist as I was put into the blacklisted BG.

This is the fix: blacklist another map other than the ones you want to blacklist. After that unblacklist that one and then blacklist the ones you do. This will work

Confirmed on Jan. 4.

Do /reload and see if any BGs are currently blacklisted. If so, untoggle them.

Do /reload again and check to make sure nothing is toggled on.

Then blacklist BGs as normal -- watch for error message. If no message, they are blacklisted.

This may be required each time you log in.

that's been in the sticky for a while but i suppose reminding people can't hurt right?

TLDR: This is a known issue

/agreed; log on and theyre unregistered, then I have to try a few times to successfully blacklist it without it saying "Failed to blacklist PvP map."

The reload thing works fine, but its still annoying to have to do every time I relog.
