Day: Wednesday, December 19th
Time: 7:00pm ST
Place: Tyr's Hand. For those who may be new to the game, Tyr's Hand IS a phased area. You will need to complete the quest chain, available around level 39-40, to be able to participate in the festivities. The quest chain begins at Lights Hope Chapel from Brother Bartholomew.
Tentative Schedule of Events
7:00pm - The party starts with an opening prayer and well wishes for all.
7:45pm- The first auction begins. Various crafting items will be up for grabs, as well as a few battle pets (un-leveled...sorry guys, I'm not THAT rich to buy leveled pets =( ), materials, RP clothing, etc.
8:30- The second auction begins! This will be the date/friend auction, and this is PERFECT for those who may be new to the server, new to a guild, or who may be looking for an arena partner, someone to add into RBG's, etc. I ask that IF you are looking for RBG's or an Arena partner/group, that you bring your tip top PvP gear with you to show off! If you are interested in being auctioned off, please message me no later than Tuesday night, 11pm ST. This is when I will be creating all lists, brackets, etc.
In Character: All money made from the auctions will be given to the orphanages of Stormwind and Ironforge. Out of Character: The money made from the auctions will be divied up BY GUILD. Your Guild Leader OR the person representing your guild MUST register with me by Tuesday, 11pm ST, and one item from EACH auction must be bid on by a member of the guild for the guild to qualify receiving a cut of the funds.
So, for example, Berenal will register with me by Tuesday night of next week (because he's a good boy and does things on time). He will send himself OR a representative of his guild to the Ball, along with anyone else who wishes to go of course. Anyone from The Blades of Greymane (Bere's guild) may bid on any item and any person, as long as one item and one person from EACH auction is bid on...BID on, not necessarily won. At the end of each auction, I will take a tally of how much money was given, divide that by the number of represented and qualified guilds, and the GM's or the qualified representatives OF those guilds, will get a slice of the pie. Please understand that this money is for the GUILD and to be deposited into the guild bank. I will send messages to each GM to let them know exactly how much of a deposit they should be expecting IF they are unable to make the event and rely on a representative.
What's a party without a little rough housing? A pretty dull one I'd say. We will have a mini-tournament, straight PvP, 1v1. I will create a bracket and pair people up at RANDOM*, and we'll go through the bracket, fight by fight, until we reach our two final people. The final fight will be a best out of three match up. The winner will receive 5,000 gold, the runner up will receive 2500 gold.
*Random means I will literally write your names on piece's of paper, drop them in a bag, and pick them out, one by one. The order in which I pick them out will be the order in which the bracket is filled.
Again, if you want to participate in the 'date' auction, or participate in the PvP section of the event, AND if you want your guild to be qualified to receive gold from BOTH auctions, you need to mail me in game absolutely no later than Tuesday night at 11ST.
I will not be taking sign ups for these events via the forums. Mail me.
GM's who will not be able to represent their guild at the Ball, but want their guild to receive a cut of the monies raised will need to message me, by the same time, who their representative will be, and thus, who will receive the gold.
Please, if any of you have any questions at all, don't hesitate to ask me in game. It's probably better to mail me any questions and that way I'll be sure to get them and respond, rather than possibly missing a whisper from someone. See you all next Wednesday!
