Rogues do need a rework. I hate playing the class.

Don't worry Rogues, I've been pvping lately so I can get the honor set because it looks pretty decent.

Since I no longer have a Disc spec thanks to needing to do dailies and stuff, you can easily see me in the BG's thanks to my Chakra state and take comfort in knowing that no PvP Priest armor has any +haste on it so I'm lucky if I have a heal that casts in under 2.5 seconds.

Feel free to kick, gouge, sap, blind or whatever you want when you see me. Don't worry, I can't trinket out because as usual, it's on cooldown.

In closing....

Dear Rogues. Come see me for free Honor and HK's.

Leave this here,

http://wow.joystiq.com/2012/12/11/are-rogues-a-dying-class/#continued

A FotM class that was on par with Frost Mages for damage and control is relegated to the status of mere mortals with flaws and problems, and people run away from it.

Color me surprised.

Warlocks were in a pretty terrible place in PvP (Save for 3s in Arena) for all of Cata, and they aren't a dying class. Blizzard took preventative measures and fixed them, sometimes a bit too much. Warrior's were horrific for most of Cata, and they adjusted us back up to being competitive (and then some yes I know).

There are no dying classes, just classes at different points on the bell curve of being nerfed into obscurity or buffed to the point of being overpowered.*

* = Please note this ideology does not pertain to Frost Mages. Frost Mages are demi-gods and we mere mortals should be privileged that they take the time to clear the chaff (us) from in front of them.

Eh, I just wanted a class that could fight those tough Pandaria rare elites without too much trouble.

Yeah, rogues are gahbage right now.

Prior to MoP, my rogue was my main. Now, despite how close my Rogue is to 'Conqueror' I can't be bothered to finish it. In my case, this is due to general burn out and a shift in RP focus more than the current state of the Rogue class. Still, the trend stands, I suppose...

I can undesrstand them wanting to tone down some of the Rogue Godliness that seemed to exist.

But man, I was leveling a rogue and then when the talents changed I had no Idea wtf to pick. Lot of the talent trees didn't seem to line up well.

Rogues really haven't gotten near as much as a good revamp as other classes did. Warlocks seemed to have gotten lots of love this time round, though, And it was needed.

perhaps Rogues will get one...hopefully sooner rather than later.

This is a supreme issue. Especially our last tier of talents when 2/3 of them should be baseline and almost every other class gets game changing 'on use' spells in their last tier.

Cata had a ton of rogues because of the legendary daggers in DS. Couple that with everyone and their mother complaining that rogues are terrible in Mists (in pvp, anyway) and nobody is feeling any kind of drive to level their rogues.

No, you are definitely the first person to even think about using prep in anything other than a pve situation, congratulations, here is your medal.

Whenever I play D&D, despite my love for rogues in a story... They've never fun for me to play.
The only reason to have a rogue in your party anyways is to disarm traps, otherwise even a cleric is more fun.

edit: Also I feel unmotivated to level my rogue even if it does mean being able to open all the lockboxes.

My next D&D character is going to be a conjuration specialist wizard who summons celestial monkeys to trigger traps. Bring literal meaning to the term "trapmonkey".
