Therefore, if they dont nerf or provide "easy skip ahead heroics" 92% of the player base (who cares the raid normal/heroic mode anyway) will have to continue to work on MSV, HOF and ToES while the 18% move on to the new patch.

So it will be the same as it's always been, excluding probably Cata and the Toc patch that killed Ulduar/wotlk progression.

And why are so many people complaining about patches coming out fast? By far the largest complaint I've ever seen in game and out are people whining that the patches come out too slow...Just goes to show that Blizz can't make this community happy, no matter how hard they try.

Because this patch coming too soon, implies other patches will come very slowly. The 1 year stints following the final raid of an expansion make things very boring. So if 5.2 is out in early Feb, expect the final raid 4-5 months later in July-ish timeframe. That leaves the better part of 1 year or more that final raid to be ground, ad nauseum, into utter boredom.

Would be nice if they could wait until more than 18% of raiders had cleared the existing stuff before they started with the new stuff.

Normal modes are pretty easy, there's no real reason not to have them all dead by now.

Except you're obviously wrong. Couldn't be any more wrong in fact.

I'm sure you're going to point out that those who haven't completed normal mode suck and are bad and whatever other insult you can come up with. How bout don't and accept the fact that you're just plain wrong.

There are so many aesthetically amazing elements to Patch 5.2, that it was INCREDIBLY difficult to decide what single image to showcase. Many of us scrutinized a plethora of screenshots for days before deciding this was the perfect first impression to provide as a little gift for the holidays, teasing though it may be. But we think it sets the tone nicely, no? :)

Once we're back from holiday break, we fully intend to hit the ground running. Brace yourselves, my friends!

I hope you hit the ground running for Rogues.... Ive been waiting and waiting and waiting.. for 5.2 will be making some changes to Rogues.

As of right now What purpose does a Rogue have? ALl other classes have our unique abilities spread out..

This is prob the best point anyone has made yet in these discussions.

Since Blizzard is making non-raid content patches, what's wrong with spreading the raiding tiers out a bit more than they used to be, say a good solid 6-7 months between.

Personally I'm hoping that this patch is mid-late April, but....

It's not a crystal ball, it's based on past performance. The same thing occurred in the last two expansions, it's reasonable to conclude they are doing the same thing.

I hope no one is taking you seriously considering you are implying that 100 - 92 = 18, I'll do the math properly for you. If 92 percent of the raiding player base is still doing the first tier of raids upon 5.2 release, then 8 percent of the raiding player base will be in the new raid. I highly doubt that will be the case at all though.

But the real issue here is you are just mad that you can't kill anything past Stone Guards on heroic and don't want people who are better raiders to be able to run the new raid when it is ready, you want Blizzard to hold onto content and make others wait so that you can feel accomplished and enter it day 1.

Yeah if its the same people who complained before complaining now... which I doubt but who knows. I definately didnt have an issue before, and DS was the last long stint that we all just dealt with because we knew the expansion was coming.... eventually.

5.2 will probably be out later then some assume, and I hope it is, but if they start shoving new content in our faces too quick... it just feels rushed. Might have to murder someone if they adding new dailies in 5.2... oh wait they are *dies*

I am sorry, but that picture annoys me for only one reason. The grammar.

"The Thunder King is risen" sounds so horrible, it feels like whoever wrote it has butchered the English language. It should be either "The Thunder King HAS risen" or "The Thunder King is RAISED".

Of course this could just be some americanised grammar, which the thought of makes me cringe even more.

It's written in passive voice, which is something that should be rarely done. The sentence contains no subject to act on the verb.

It still bugs me, and just about everyone else who i have pointed it out to.

LOL @ grammar error on mmo-champion's image of 5.2 patch.

"The Thunder King is risen" is gramatically correct.

Sure, it's written in an unusual way using - as somebody mentioned earlier - the passive voice, and sure, the phrase normally comes with "has risen" instead of "is risen", but there is nothing gramatically wrong with it.

And no, there is nothing americanised about it. If anything, Americans are less likely to use the passive voice because they don't get it.

By all means, please, point out where I was rude to anyone in this thread before I was insulted and armory bashed by you.

What is this armory bashed phrase? I've never heard it until now >.> I didn't comment on your raiding experience, I replied to how it was bad because in order to progress to the new raid (NON LFR VERSION!) well they better hope that there are heroics that drop entry level dungeon gear. If there isnt a dungeon, thats the problem. The mistake I made was using "you" and "youre" because you used "you" and "youre" in your reply to the original poster, so as I said... it made it seem personal.

Some people don't like to fall behind, but some are fine with it. If they are fine, well good for them, otherwise it can get frustrating if your team can't beat, say, Sha of Fear for whatever reason and just cant progress enough to get to the gear level they need... all 10/25 of them. Imagine if we needed to clear ToES to enter the new raid. I don't think they would do that though because the clear rate could be too low, like 20% clear rate for ToES (kinda extreme example provided but hey I didn't write that)

When the patch comes out, I'd want to check out the new raid asap, and I'm sure many many people would feel the same, and having roadblocks such as gear can be a pain.
Or, we go in with the gear they have are try our best, maybe even succeed. In the past it was proven that people who had heroic cleared the raids before the next patch of raids (example 391 ilvl gear from FL to 397 ilvl in DS) have an easier time clearing the content, and sometimes thats the goal we have.... and less time means less chances to get the gear that could help us progress.

Not every type of raiding team would feel this way of course, and then theres just LFR (i tend to ignore that because I really dislike it as a whole) for anyone else

The moment someone uses personal phrases... I... what? You're so far out in left field you've not only left the corn behind, you can't even see the farm anymore.

Great, now we made a full circle with your last minute condescending comment.... which is really weird...

I don't even know where to start to explain anything to you, and quite frankly I have no interest in doing so even if I did. I am going to wish you a Merry Christmas, put you on ignore and go about my merry way because quite frankly, I come to forums to engage in fun conversation. Not to explain basic concepts and explain why I'm not being rude to someone that can't understand what being rude is. So...

Merry Christmas.

It will probably be out Feb/Early March.

Plenty of time to clear.

Since ptr is opening in january and major patches are usually 2 mins at least, we're probably looking at more like late march-april or april-eary may.

Aye, i suppose it may be correct if used passively. Regardless, it still sounds so very wrong and should not be used in the way it has been used.

I am not american, so i dont really know if it was americanised or not, but you guys kinda did butcher the english language alot over the past few hundred years. Cant blame me for being skeptical. :P

That statement is as ignorant as me saying "you guys kind of did butcher dental care a lot over the past few hundred years (assuming you are from the UK)".

Also, considering your lack of grammar, I do not think you can honestly make statements on the butchering of a language.
