Topic [A] [RP & RP/PVP] The League of Lordaeron
** A lone banner catches your eye, fluttering amongst the undying winds. It is another recruitment post, but it is signed with the royal seal of Lordaeron. Upon closer examination, you read the following:
"Races of Azeroth, this is a call to arms for the great cause of Lordaeron. The once great alliance of human city-states, that held this world from the brink of doom against the first Great Horde -must- be reclaimed. We must take back what is rightfully ours, and the Forsaken utterly ousted from the Capital City. Every day our enemies in the Eastern Kingdoms encroach upon what little Alliance footholds we have in the lands of Lordaeron, and it is by the souls of a few great men that we will rekindle hope in our darkest days.
The League of Lordaeron was formed many years ago, and even to this day it has still persisted. Our cause is just and true, but we are an order that grows tired over the endless wars waged against the new Horde in unwanted lands. The League's agenda lies solely in every inch of land north of the Wetlands in the Eastern Kingdoms, so that we may restore order and balance to a land ravaged by chaos and fear. We are a paramilitary group that leads strikes against the various Forsaken, Scourge, and other hostile targets that may threaten our grasp upon Lordaeron. While our goals mostly lie in lost lands, we are not shy to help our allies in their hour of need.
Hear the righteous cause of Lordaeron, my brothers, my sisters, my faithful comrades-in-arms! Together we will strike back the undead menace that blights our once great homeland!" **
GUILD LEVEL: 25
-Good roleplay, a decent grasp of grammar, and the ability to portray your character in a way that doesn't promote god-modding is our major requirement.
-IC Interviews must be taken before you are allowed into the guild. Do not join our guild for the perks, expecting to level up with them, before joining in our RP.
-There is a hard 40+ level limit, that we only have in place because most of our RP takes place in 40-50 zones. This also shows us you have dedicated enough time to your character that it isn't a simple alt, and we -do- keep an eye on newly created Death Knights.
-We also require our members to be active, or state a reason as to why they'll be inactive. Any members who do not state a reason for being absent after a month's time will be kicked indiscriminately. Anyone wanting to come back after such an action has been taken is more than welcome.
-Maturity is also something we value highly. We do not have an age limit within our guild, but we expect our members to have a decent grasp of realizing right from wrong and understanding that your actions reflect the entire guild. People who cause problems consistently due to OOC reasons won't be staying in the League for very long.

In order to keep our members organized and active we have three specific squads: Soldier Squad (Warriors, DKs, Paladins, Shaman*), Ranger Squad (Rogues/Druids/Hunters/Monks), and finally our Caster Squad (Priests/Magi/Warlocks/Shaman*). Each squadron has a specific role within the League, as well as differing guidelines to a degree.
CASTER DIVISION: "The Caster's division of the League of Lordaeron consists of an assortment of Priests, Mages, and other energy wielders who are capable of assaulting enemy forces from a distance. It holds a crucial role in more tactical attacks and is essential for research and development when the League is up against a more challenging foe."
RANGER DIVISION: "The Rangers of the League embody the lifeblood of information within the organization. They are a division filled with adept scouts, assassins, saboteurs, spies, and other alternative measures used in the arts of war. If knowledge is power, then this is the strongest squad of the League. While some see their tactics as underhanded in nature, their skills are undeniably useful in the work to reclaim Lordaeron."
SOLDIER DIVISION: "The Soldiers of the League are a consistent unit of individuals who are adept in the way of the sword, mace, spear, and many other forms. They are the main bulk of the League's fighting force, which even include stalwart Paladins and invaluable Death Knights. These brave individuals stand tall against our foes, becoming the living shield wall of the League; always in the front of the battlefield, they are as strong as their armor. Their main duty is to protect, and serve Lordaeron."
** (Shamans are split between their IC preference. If they are more of an elemental Shaman, they will be placed in the Caster squad. If they are more of an enhancement Shaman, they will be placed in the Soldier Squad.)

Our ranking system has been streamlined so that activity, dedication, and a good sense of mettle will let you soar through the ranks.
Tier 1) High Commander - The High Commander is the ultimate authority within the League of Lordaeron, and should be respected as such. Whomever holds this office will inevitably be extremely busy, and it is up to this man/woman to make the decisions that will affect the League of Lordaeron as a whole.
Tier 2) Major - The Major is the High Commander's right hand in all matters concerning the League of Lordaeron. When the High Commander is not available, the Major should fulfill said role. The Major still has authority over every other officer, and is a major leader of the League.
Tier 3) Captain - The de-facto officer rank within the League, the care and well-being of the people in their squad falls upon them. They are hardened veterans, most of whom have been within the League for a long span of time, and have proven their leadership qualities. Captains are responsible for their appropriate squads.
Tier 4) Lieutenant - The first initial officer rank within the League, these men and women of the League of Lordaeron are the first to be called upon when initiating new blood into the order. Though their responsibilities are not as grand as their senior officers, they are usually called upon to fulfill the role of a leading figure within their squad, and the League as a whole. They also give orders to enlisted forces if need be.
Tier 5) TBA
Tier 6) Sergeant - Sergeants of the League have usually proven their service to the League, but have either not been with the League long enough to be promoted to a rank of seniority, or have not yet shown the aptitude for leadership. However, if requested, the Sergeants of the League of Lordaeron can usually be trusted to follow orders or give them.
Tier 7) Corporal - Corporals of the League have proven their loyalty and dedication more than the average new recruit, and the officer core has begun to take notice. They can be trusted with minor tasks, and if requested, to lead small units or forces individually.
Tier 8) Private - The new recruit or grunt of the League. As they are of the lowest military rank, they have much to prove and even more to gain. They are expected to follow orders, and maintain a sense of decency whilst wearing the tabard of Lordaeron.
Exempt) Veteran - Veterans are some of the most dedicated members of the League of Lordaeron. Though they hold no real power within the chain of command, Veterans are venerated by most Leaguers. Their advice is usually heralded by most, and are treated more as a Champion to the League's cause when they are able to provide their service.
Exempt) Auxiliary - This rank is for characters who are mercenaries or other types who do not officially want to join the League, but interact and fight alongside the League in the capacity of a normal member. These members are not required to adhere to the uniform code, as they are not official members. Auxiliaries do have the potential to be new recruits, should they wish to fully enter the League of Lordaeron's graces. (You will still have the guild tag.)
[-=RP / RP-PvP / D&D / PVE=-]
RP: Our base of operations lies within Tyr's Hand, and more often than not you can find League of Lordaeron members there participating in random RP on most days of the week. We encourage the League to interact with other guilds, and in turn, providing a good atmosphere for roleplay.
RP-PvP: The League of Lordaeron has a respectable RP-PvP playerbase, ranging from 2200 players to those who haven't quite farmed honor gear yet. Despite these differences, we're an RP guild first and foremost. Our guild enjoys RP-PvP encounters with several Horde guilds: Dominion of the Sun, Sunguard, Hand of Vengeance, Kor'kron Legion, and many more.
D&D: Many of our officers and event-planners are capable of managing Dungeons and Dragons-style events when need be, where outcomes are determined by the roll of a die and a clever dungeon master. Even if you are a newcomer to this aspect of RP, we are willing to help you learn!
PVE: The League plays host to an OOC 10-man dedicated raiding team, prioritizing League members who also harbor an interest in current-content raiding. It should be noted we are an RP guild first and foremost, thus those with interest only in raiding and not in RP should consider other guilds.
We are currently on break with our 10 man team.
All members who now join the League of Lordaeron will be prompted if they wish for a free 'Recruit Uniform'. There is a uniform provided for each armor type in question:
CLOTH RECRUIT UNIFORM: http://i.imgur.com/Zfm2m.png
LEATHER RECRUIT UNIFORM: http://i.imgur.com/GWEV6.png
MAIL RECRUIT UNIFORM: http://i.imgur.com/OK7Ec.png
PLATE RECRUIT UNIFORM: http://i.imgur.com/kIUwv.png
If a new recruit refuses the set offered, they will be expected to gather a silver/white/blue/gold motif outfit for uniform usage. The protocol is not extremely strict, but we frown upon bulky raid gear, and would prefer that member-created uniforms try to stay in line with the general theme of our guild. Here are some examples:

The general rule of thumb is: Less Is More.
Uniforms are not required at all times, though on the occasions we ask for you to wear said uniforms, we expect you to have it on hand.
The League of Lordaeron has a pretty open policy when it comes to OOC beliefs/cultural background/etc. and we ask that all those who join the League to please keep this in mind. It does not take long for personalities to clash, and if someone in the League consistently causes a problem, they will eventually be removed.
While many of the League will be willing to help you if you ask, do not resort to begging or using the League as a way to get free things. If you help the League, we'll help you. That's how any decent guild works. If you ever encounter someone you have a problem with, you are -greatly- encouraged to talk to an officer about any trouble you might have. This applies even if you aren't in our guild, but feel it necessary to talk to either myself or one our officer core. If someone is misbehaving, we -want- to know about it.

If you are interested in joining, please take into consideration all of the requirements listed above. You must post an application at www.leagueoflordaeron.enjin.com and we'll try to get an IC initiation with you at the earliest convenience upon its acceptance. Applications usually take at the most two days to be processed, and we consistently put comments on your application, so it's a good idea to keep an eye on it.
Once it is accepted, the IC initiation will be scheduled with you when possible. The easiest way to make this process go smoother is simply to contact one of our officers in-game once your application has been approved, and an officer will personally meet and greet your character ICly. They will be given the option of a uniform, a gnomish communicator device, and general gist of who they should contact if they have a problem. Once this RP is complete, you will be invited into the guild!
OFFICERS TO CONTACT:
High Commander - Kerdic
Major - Tahilia
Captain - Demitria, Vathir
Lieutenant - Hozak, Ralden, Lilithia, Elandir, Trinxxi
Veteran - Cartres, Graydin, Aldhemar
Any of these can recruit/shuffle information around if you need to get in contact with one of my officers or myself. All of those listed are also capable of IC initiations, if your application has been accepted.

Oh look, you finally did something helpful!
Kerdic gave me advice once, it almost got me killed.
Vathir, darling. You may not have already noticed this but...
You're dead already.
