I'm a jewel crafter & I was wondering does the 320 STR Gem beat out the 80 str 160 PVP power gem?

No, JC only gems do not beat PvP stat gems. Although I myself recommend gemming for 80 str 160 PvP resil, not power.

look at my gemming, it works great for me.

I basically went 1/3rd STR 2/3rd PVP Power where applicable

Yeah of course it does, don't listen to urivial.

Don't waste your profession perk. Use the 320 str gems.

That said, for Ret PvP you want as much resil as possible while still hitting socket bonuses. If I heard right they're coming out with str/resil JC only gems next patch. Those will be the best, unless there's ever a pure resil one you can throw in your yellow slots.

Just to clarify, PvP power isn't as strong for Ret anymore. Strength buffs damage and healing, but PvP power is only damage now. Even if you decided not to prioritize resil, you'd still prioritize str over PvP power.

Resilience. You honestly do more damage with resilience than power, because you stay alive longer and spend less time self-healing. Would of been different pre-ginormous ret paladin off-heal nerf to the ground.
