Same problem as you guys , however , I only encountered this after adding the authenticator app to my account . I've since taken the authenticator off (which worked once) , changed my password multiple times , but still no go .

Rang OPTUS & told them , they said that my email is working , I can open a browser & search Google & I have no issue with anything other than logging into the game . In other words , all is good on their end .

The IP address it says it's going to in the first few lines SHOULD NOT be 68.232.45.253
