Hi, I am a healing monk, I am having issues with high HPS for my raid grp and LFR.
Now I look @ my gear but I don't think that is fully the issue ,other monks have somewhat lesser gear than me.
I need help.
1. Mana tea I don't use enough chi to generate enough mana tea to maintain my mana.
1a. I run out of mana a lot and really fast
2b. I tried to melee heal but does not work in raids.
3C. I tried to focus spirit, is there like percent I should be aiming for?
2. my heals feels weak and useless
2a useless I use big expensive heals health never really seems to go up by much.
2b how do I make my heals meaningful? is there a stat I am over looking?
I am trying to get better @ healing and I can't seem to find any good videos. anything productive will help and maybe someone who is having the same issues as me will see this and thank you for all the help
You're currently logged out in mostly pvp gear. If you are trying to pve heal in that gear you're probably going to have problems. To put things in perspective, I have about 30% higher IN-COMBAT regen than you have OOC regen and I can still have issues in some of the fights or if I screw up on using mana tea. If you feel like you are having mana problems then spirit is your best friend, get more until you are comfortable with your mana state at the end of fights, there is no set number.
Additionally, looking at your reforging, your haste number looks strange and you are reforging out of crit when you could get away from mastery instead. Crit is currently vastly better than mastery for mistweavers.
Melee healing is only part of the toolkit and its usefullness can vary wildly with group size, fight mechanics, and so forth. It also will kill your mana if you try to actively melee (using jab and the like on the gcd).
Single target healing is the biggest weakness mistweavers currently have. As you say, using our "big", expensive heal barely moves the health bar (while simultaneously murdering our mana bar). Surging mist is a pretty bad spell, enveloping is ok unless you need to burst the target up NOW since it's a HoT. If it has time to run it actually heals for a pretty decent amount.
A) fistweaving/melee dpsing for heals works fine in raids, you just only do it in slow damage time, or in time of need for faster chi gen.
B) Why so much mastery? If you are healing 25man, maybe I can understand. But if 25 man? Makes me a sad panda. (ba-dum-chee)
C) I see missing enchants, and gems. Which make up a good chunk these days of stats
D) Dampen harm is not as useful as other talent choices
Otherwise, it is probably your playstyle. Renewing mist and uplift correctly, and try your best not to touch surging mist unless you absolutely have to.

While there are other factors that could be involved, this is probably 90% of your problem. Fix the first, and the second becomes much less of an issue.
You might also be healing too hard, too early.
Use Xuen or Chi Torpedo, do not use Rushing Jade Wind. Avoid using Spinning Crane Kick if you are raiding 10 mans, it's a mana guzzler. Surging Mists is not really used and also guzzles mana. Spamming healing spheres on a tank heals them faster and at less cost if you are on the ball.
Glyph Mana tea, hit it every time you have two leaves.
I only heavily dps on Elegon, Wind Lord, and Sha. I am in melee range on every boss fight and simply maintain Serpent's Zeal and autoattack for eminence healing and the occasional tiger palm.
Gear-wise, always reforge out of mastery. If you have 5% spell haste in your raid, your gear has you close enough to the 3145 breakpoint for renewing mists (2nd extra tick) to go ahead and do that; if you do not, I'd try to drop down to 1578 (1 extra tick without 5% haste). Finish gemming and enchanting your gear.
If you can get a darkmoon deck and have any serious intent on raiding, do so. It is absolutely amazing and will not be replaced until farther into 5.2.
