Patch 5.2.0 Undocumented PTR Changes

It's already been applied on other pets (Tarecgoas, Mr Chilly and I'm sure some of the other account bonus pets too).

I highly doubt it has anything to do with battle balance unfortunately.

Well, I guess on the plus side it'll stop that nasty issue where the multiple bigglesworths being forced into the pet journal was erasing some people's level 25s.

Yes the Bigglesworth duplicates were all around bad, bug-wise. It is pretty clear, after seeing what an achievement pet without the "unique" tag does, why they are needed (for technical reasons).

Looking into http://wow.go-hero.net/framexml/16486/Blizzard_PetBattleUI/Blizzard_PetBattleUI.lua/diff, it is obvious that they just fixed the "Pass bug".

elseif ( event == "PET_BATTLE_ACTION_SELECTED" ) then
self.BottomFrame.TurnTimer.SkipButton:Disable();

Updated OP and bug list to match.

Will I receive any sort of compensation for having two of my level 25 Bigglesworth pets removed? Sort of silly that I level pets only to have all of that time wasted and taken away.

With turkeys now, they've got even more issues than simply stacking pets, now its also stacking pets with clone movesets.

IMO that should be incentive to stop making clone pets.

Not really. You guys need to step back and consider:

1. Peddlefeet - Stun
2. Swap to turkey
3. Food comma
4. swap to Basilisk
5. Stun
6. attack
7. FD

repeat

Of course the third spot can be taken by any fast pet with a stun; but this way you might actually win by not-forfeit.

Build 16503 is live.

Zero changes (as far as datamining - they could have fixed bugs in the battle system).

The only thing I'm worried about with the CC DR change is its effect on 'on chance' cc. Granted, it's a very odd occurrence to get back to back frogs/stuns from those types of moves, but if the DRs will effect them as well, it puts another con on them I really don't think they'd need.

Apparently 16503 wasn't truly live yesterday; go-hero is updated now and so is the client.

I've updated the OP with more changes (new ones in bold). More importantly though, every single one of the new pets now has a new and unique moveset all their own.

That is very welcome news, raises the chances that one of those new pets will be worth using in a serious setting.

Do you know if Spectral Strike was fixed to work as intended, or does it still hit elementals under darkness?

No clue; spent all my time on the PTR getting the new pets and figuring out their breeds/base stats.

Hmmmmmmm... I just brought my Tuskarr Kite over to the PTR (in item form) and it was breed B/B. However, on the same login I happened to randomly get a level 25 Tuskarr Kite (i.e. the game gave me one) and its breed is H/B!

This may mean that only Tuskarr Kites redeemed after Patch 5.2 will be H/B and the older ones will be B/B, which is less than ideal since H/B has 65 more HP and only 3 less Speed and Power.

Edit: I'm just a derp. This just means that all Tuskarr Kites have always been H/B, and I never bothered to check before now (Armory shows all non-battleable pets as B/B).

Interesting - one of the PTR pets (Tiny Blue Carp) has more stats than should be possible.

http://i.imgur.com/Kq69Vg2.png

If you divide those stats by 32.5 (1.3 for rare and 25 for level), you get 8.4, 8.9, and 8.9. Let's assume Base Stats of 8/8/8; there is no breed with 0.4/0.9/0.9. That's even more stats than a pure breed!

The only previous instance of this is when they purposefully did it for the Cinder Kitten. However, the Tiny Blue Carp's moveset is actually quite good (well, interesting at the very least), so it clearly does not need an OP boost.

That's likely why it was changed. I keep deleting my extra 2 because "497 pets, 495 unique" is annoying. I welcome this change a ton.

Edit; Simca, the new fish. Are they caught in any water in their respective zones, or do special fishing pools spawn that have them?
