Yea I didnt win either, but I did have a hand in several others winning :D

Zam got me started with the Cloudkeeper Leggings while farming for his Master's Hat. Now I have 4 fully mogged toons. Two of which were in WoW Factor, earning me 22k gold.

Was in the first round on Boudecca and then switched to my Shammy, Eutopia and made the top ten with her.

Yes Zazam was responsible for some of my rarer set, in particular the Saltstone Set which is super rare/hard to farm. http://wowroleplaygear.com/2011/01/03/saltstone/ Thanks Zam <3 Epic farmer, we basically should all thank him for our cool stuff cuz he prob farmed it!

The Wowfactor contest was really fun and so many excellent transmogs got recognized/won money and other prizes. It's a shame Egor had to be such a sore loser, and paint the judges like complete idiots or something!

I've posted a link to the Follow-up from the Fizzcrank Transmog Event - as you can tell, it was a huge success and we really did see a lot of enthusiasm from the server - I hope for those reading this thread that weren't there, that Egor's bitterness about losing doesn't influence your opinion too much, this event is something worth having again, and the judges were great, very experienced and professional (they did many events on many servers prior to Fizzcrank).

You need to ask permission to use your balls? Knowing you lost your manhood is one thing, admitting it is just funny though.

I'm far from a sore loser. I only went to see other people's mogs. I've said it before and I'll say it again since reading is hard for some...I simply think other mogs looked better. I still think it's hilarious that I'm able to make a post on the forums and get such responses from people.

Also, the saltstone set isn't hard to farm at all. I've farmed for other pieces and had two complete saltstone sets drop while doing so. Only took about 2 hours.

Undercutting in the ah has nothing to do with my being mad. I think some of the prices are a bit steep for ugly gear. The gothic plate set has got to be the ugliest plate set ever and yet it's always listed super high. I sell that crap cheap cuz I think it's ugly. Given that I have a full 6 tab guild bank and another half full guild bank full of x-mog gear, I just want to get rid of it, so I sell it cheap.

I'm still trying to figure out how my having an opinion and stating it makes me bitter. Must be because it's not the common opinion amongst these kids. I honestly didn't expect to get such responses from a simple opinion. It makes me smile knowing that people give me that power :)

I really enjoyed the transmog show. It was nice to see such a showing of our server. I wouldn't mind doing it again, but I'd rather do it without the previous judges. I'd rather find a couple of judges, along with myself to judge and put up some gold, pets and a mount or two for prizes and see what we can do.

That contest was so long ago and I've seen so many good sets since then, it would be nice to see the new mogs people would bring. Let me know what you think, Jez.

Alarm bells go off because you've already demonstrated disrespect for the organizers and winners of a similar event. I don't think you grasp what went into the previous event. I think putting yourself on the judges rather than finding unbiased independent ones is also suspicious.

I disliked one winner's mog, I'd hardly call that biased. And I wouldn't be the only judge anyways. You, me and Jez could easily judge a contest and I honestly think it would be fun given that we all three have different tastes. We're all three in the mog market so it would bump up sales even more so than already. We all three have money to donate and others can donate as well. Throw some pets, a chopper and maybe a kypyrium rocket into the mix as prizes and I think it would be cool.

We could put it up on twitch just like the other contest so that people could hear us live. I truly think this would be fun. So b*tching and differences of opinions aside, let me know what you think :)

Nobody would watch our mog contest though, the whole thing about Wowfactor is that it was already a famous mog show that had done several big events on servers like Tichondrius, Proudmoore, Argent Dawn, and over 20 other servers before it came to Fizzcrank. Wowfactor was like THE mog show (5 million gold in prizes anyone?)

You talk about the judges as if they are amateurs who just decided to have a contest - and they aren't. They've run a roleplay gear website for years, before transmogging even existed, and they've got extensive experience looking at all the items Warcraft has to offer. The twitch channel belonged to Elvine - who was a well known and popular auction house player/gold maker. No one would watch a mog show put on by me, Egor or Psi or anyone on this backwater server because we are nobodies - Wowfactor is famous and has a big history.

The reason I won is because I presented an original mog that they hadn't seen before - put together pieces from different tiers, and had matching pets etc. Some sets look better than what Jez had on, but the judges HATE what is called 'recipe' sets that they have seen OVERANDOVER - they want to see originality, creativity etc.

I researched the mog contests, read up on what they look for from winners and chatted up/made friends with past winners and mog enthusiasts. Maybe I didn't even like my mog (I did like my mog, I like my current one more, but it would have never won), but I knew what the judges would be looking for in a winner before they even showed up on Fizz.

This blab has a point - doing research helps you win the game of Warcraft, read up on stuff, ask questions, do what has been tried, tested and proven - this goes for raids, pvps, and even mog contests.

Anyways, back to being a moron

Hyperz had it on his shammy and he won a small prize in one of the rounds, but nothing major. It's not a set that is seen very often and yet it's pretty easy to come by.

As far as sets that make me /yawn....the battleforge set has been done to death as has the revenant plate set and all those slutty red plate sets as well.

I have yet to see a single person on this server with the full exalted or brutish sets. I fancy the chromite set as well. I can be snobby though as I think that some sets just don't look good on certain races. The sundered set looks washed out on a draenei.

I think people would show up to a contest hosted by fizz's own with enough publicity about it.
There are some amazingly beautiful mog pieces in the ah that I would love to see people rocking.

Also...Zazam, I just saw you in game rocking the silver-thread set and I drooled. I love that set. Hard to see the boot detail on a gnome but it still looks sharp.

I will reserve my judgement until such a time as the proper respect is shown to others around here, and people who know better than to be idiots cease being so.
