[RP] Darnasus and Iron Forge tonight

It was not too late and I was spending some time in Darnasus, which is always a nice place to be, except tonight the deer were being weird. Now, I'm not usually one to over react, but they were everywhere and they seemed to be watching. Not in a good way.

I was told that, sure Darnasus was part of a larger organism with many eyes, and that didn't help with the eeby-geebies let me tell you. Anyway, I had to leave, those strange soft doe eyes tracking me the whole time. I left feeling very uneasy.

So question one, does anyone know why the woods would be angry? I felt it, I've spent time before in Darnasus and something felt...off. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Continuing, I headed over to Iron Forge. I always feel at home there, my father having been a dwarf and all (adopted, yes, obviously). I stepped out to the front gates for a breath of fresh air and lo! there are some of mighty Clan Battlehammer practicing.

I start chatting some up, mentioned the odd behavior in Darnasus, and then I get told that the huge statue in front of Iron Forge actually comes to life on a half moon every thousand years to defend the Dwarven Kingdom. But, and I have been in Iron Forge enough, have never heard this. I have a sneaky feeling that the Battlehammer member who told me this was pulling my leg a bit.

So question two, does the statue in front of Iron Forge turn into a walking death dealer every thousand years under a half moon, or have I been bamboozled?

Thank you,

Your local Stormwind paladin, Bordak, at your service.

I have sworn off alcohol as well...well, until this solved. And I only had a couple glasses in Darnasus before I noticed the strange deer behavior. Someone asked me if I was 'smoking' stuff. Why would I smoke Peacebloom? It kind of boggles the mind. But no, no peacebloom. Again, any help would be greatly appreciated in tracking this information down. Thank you again.

Further investigation has informed me that there were a number of prominent guilds in Darnasus that night. In fact, there was something of an invasion attempt by the horde, which thankfully failed. But I have seen the woods after such and this was not that. It was something else...

Also, 'Dwarven secrets' aside, someone has to know about that statue in front of Iron Forge. And if no one knows, then perhaps someone would know someone who knows someone, if ya get me. Bah...I'm off to bed!

I have been up and down Iron Forge. I have talked with a number of people in Iron Forge. Of course none of those were dwarves, as apparently dwarves don't talk about this (or so it would seem given the response I have gotten). I only get professorial gibberish from the guys in the Hall of Exploration. No one knows anything about this mysterious statue coming to life. There must be a Dwarf around who can confirm this.

How does one get a hold of Clan Battlehammer? Darn those stubborn Dwarves!

Also, I have not been back to Darnasus yet. Can anyone confirm if the woods have settled?

Thank you!

Ah... Bordak, hero of the Alliance. Righteous defender of Stormwind. I challenge you to a duel! If you are not a coward, you will accept.

I accept Ravenhul. Given you challenged me, for weapons I choose sword and shield. Name the place and the time.

I have no second, though. My brothers have been gone long in the north. If that is a concern., perhaps someone would offer to be my second.

Alas!

Kabermags has agreed to introduce me to some people of importance this Friday in Iron Forge.

*Bordak rubs hands together*

But that odd warning..."And tall one beware, some answers aren't worth it." What could that mean?

*Bordak considers this as he heads back to Stormwind.*

After some time patrolling Stormwind with Voltec, whose bravery raised my courage a bit, I decided to make the trip once again to Darnasus on my own and face the woods once again. The woods there still feel wrong, somehow. Could it be me? Or is something darker happening there.

Someone must know something...I did not stay long and will hopefully have more courage next time. But someone must know what is happening in Darnasus and woods about it. Anyone...

I admire your bravery, Paladin. Yet you are no match for the strength for the Sin'dorei.

I may be from a humble background, Blood Elf, raised by a simple blacksmith in Westfall, but I have been to Silvermoon, and I have seen the addiction eating at your people. You are a fallen race, brought low from heights long ago. I was given a tour my enemy, I was SHOWN. Your sickness will consume you Blood Knight. I know what you did to that naaru.

She...

*Bordak chokes up a bit, becomes more quiet)

nearly ended me. I will fight you Ravenhul, you and your corruption.

Bordak... You are a fool... You think because you attack Silvermoon and attack and murder my kin, that you know the Sin'dorei!? I can tell already me and you have totally different concepts, and not just different views of the light. Addiction isn't what is destroying my people. Addiction will NEVER kill my people. Arcane magic is what makes the Sin'dorei strong. Our knack for magic is what gives us a foothold in the horde. It is why our primitive comrades of the horde need us. So be silent!

You misheard me Ravenhul. The time I speak of was one in which I was given a tour. I was...seduced. I was there as a guest. I was....nearly...transformed...nearly killed.

*Bordak shakes himself.*

I do not wish to talk of this any further, Blood Knight. You are correct, the Sin'dorei magic is strong. The people are powerful, in ways which are...hard to resist. If you wish to fight, then we fight. Else be gone Blood Knight.

I will find you hiding somewhere later I am sure!

*Bordak wonders into Stormwind, and nearly heads to the bar, then thinking of Darnasus and the woods turns away muttering to himself.*

Maybe I only imagined it...*a haunted look on his face.*

I do not listen to the likes of you. Meet me in Dalaran. It's not my fault you couldn't control your lust for Horde women, then was lured and seduced and nearly killed. FOOL!

((Hah! Wonderful, you cruel elf!! Love it. This old man went to bed before I could respond.))

THAT IS NOT WHAT HAPPENED!

*Bordak shakes with fury!*

You would never understand, Blood Knight. Never!

*His eyes then draw distant.*

Perhaps I was a fool....*his hand wonders to his face, briefly shadowing his eyes.*

*Then steel enters his bearing and his back straightens. He looks at you directly and unflinchingly.*

I haven't been to the north in some time. But my guess is when I arrive, you will not be there, you heartless bastard. Still, I shall look for you. And when we do meet Ravenhul, you'll pay for those cruel words!

Ah yes... I know of you. I've heard tales of your disgusting acts in Quel'thalas. In your visit to Silvermoon, you drank your self into a stupor. You rampaged around picking fights with our civilians. You took advantage of our hospitality. You prowled the streets of Silvermoon seeking nothing but confrontation.

I was told that you made disgusting advances towards a priestess. She had no interest in you. Yet in your drunken carnal desire for her, you were persistent. We had the guards escort you away from our civilians, you resisted. So brutal force was necessary.
