Im getting the same error message #114. Tried simple things like password and router resets, as well as everything in the forums, still i cant get on. Know 'm completely lost where to go next..

Go here :

http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/7810052558

And learn about the possible true cause of the error and how to test if the depot server is being mapped correctly and responding correctly.

IE

* Do a traceroute to us.depot.battle.net and see which IP address it's going to (should be in the first few lines of the output)

* If it's 68.232.45.253 it's one of the bad depot servers. Any workaround or method of fixing it would be devoted to making sure it's not that IP anymore.

* Load up http://us.depot.battle.net:1119/000000test.txt to see if it's coming back with a successful test or if it comes back with 404

* Try a work around. EG :

http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/7810052558#4

* Do another traceroute to see which IP address us.depot.battle.net is going to.

* If it's no longer the 68.232.x.x address restart then delete the Cache folders here :

WINDOWS :

Blizzard Entertainment folder at :

Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\
Windows Vista/Windows 7: C:\ProgramData\Blizzard

World of Warcraft\Cache
World of Warcraft\Data\Cache

Then open from the launcher and hopefully it's fixed.

After an extended bout of protracted obstinacy the following composite is what let me back into the game. Thanks Bluespacecow and others for enthusiastic and dilligent postings.

Navigate to the World of Warcraft folder and delete the Cache folder.

Then go into the Data folder and delete the other Cache folder.

Once that is done delete Battle.net Cache Folder. Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\
Windows Vista/Windows 7: C:\ProgramData\

Do a power cycle and DNS flush.

Change Host file. See http://www.mediacollege.com/computer/network/dns.html
Add the following line to the bottom of your hosts file:
12.120.152.128 us.depot.battle.net

Here's how to power cycle:

1. Turn off all computers on the network
2. Unplug the power from the modem and the router (if applicable)
3. Wait about 1-2 minutes
4. Plug in the modem first and wait for it to completely boot up
5. If there was a router, plug the power back in and wait for it to completely boot up
6. Turn on the computers and try the game out

DNS flush
Windows XP
1. Click Start, then select Run and type CMD in the Run box. A command prompt window should open on screen.
2. Type ipconfig /release in the command prompt.
3. Wait a few seconds for a reply that the IP address has been released.
4. Type ipconfig /renew in the command prompt.
5. Wait a few seconds for a reply that the IP address has been re-established.
6. Type ipconfig /flushdns in the command prompt.
7. Close the command prompt and attempt to make a connection

For all you MAC users do this:

1. https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/deleting-the-battlenet-cache-folder-mac

2. Then renew your DHCP lease in apple menu>system preferences>network click on advanced and it should be clear as day it's the 2nd tab in.

3. http://www.dotresults.com/2009/10/27/how-to-edit-the-hosts-file-mac-os-x-snow-leopard/comment-page-1/

Just follow number 3. replace the bottom line with 12.120.152.128 us.depot.battle.net

Hope this helps someone out, Cheers gl^

Weird.

When I dig both servers here for the depot server address I get 12.120.148.128

Have you tried clearing your DNS cache and checking what IP address it goes to on a traceroute to us.depot.battle.net

I changed my primary and secondary DNS servers from auto to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 respectively, and everything is working fine for me now. (Thanks tech support!) WinXP and Kubuntu from Japan.

Subscribed for a month have not been able to log in thanks to these issues. Is it wild or unreasonable to ask for a refund or at least some blizzard bucks back ?

What have you tried so far ?

Have you checked which server your connecting to for the depot server by running a traceroute to us.depot.battle.net ?

Any refunds would have to be authorized by Billing AFAIK.

You can reach them by putting it a ticket at :

https://us.battle.net/support/en/ticket/submit

Then click through and if it's within their hours either the Live Chat or Phone Support options should light up.

Ok so after a few days of not trying to login the issue has seemed to resolve itself. I didn't do anything and randomly I can login and play. Kinda strange

@Eclipsz; I tried this but it still didn't work, along with a few others who've listed their work-arounds.
I'm neither a computer expert myself, but I followed each step specifically I'm going to just have to wait until the team have fixed this manually, I have no idea how to get this working the only way I'd possibly be able to get it working is if someone did it specifically for me over "Team Viewer" or made a "youtube video" as someone stated further in on this thread. That way I'd be able to see it better and have some sort of a better understanding.
Anyways, I'll just have to wait it out like everyone else that can't log in, I hope this gets fixed soon it's boring each day after work being unable to play WoW :s

Lucky you. I can't, still says "Error #114"... I'm tired of waiting, it's pathetic :c
