Anyway, this does make some sense, in a way. The body tends to respond to stimuli; the issue of course is what that stimuli causes to happen as a result.

As a side-note, what does this mean about males of the ape, monkey, and gorilla species? Don't they tend to pound their chests a great deal as well? I wonder if this is a predisposition for only humans; wasn't there some gorilla or ape a while back that was reported as having this problem?
