Osaes il Shyr (OiS) just recently transferred from Uldaman (on Jan 4) and we are looking for one more raider to round out our 10-man roster. We decided to transfer because we were not able to get a regular group for raids because the recruitment pool was rather limited (on the Alliance side) due to server population. We decided that a realm transfer to a more populated (Alliance) realm since it would be an easier place to find more quality players and thus continue our push forward.
We understand that we are behind the current content and now that we've made friends here, we've been able to continue with our raiding progression and we are still looking for several more folks that can assist us to fill out our roster.
Who is OiS?:
Well, we're a group of friends that played this game over many years. Some of us since Vanilla which included opening the Gates of Ahn'Qiraj but a majority of us since B.C. We've all done the 4-5 night raid weeks and are over it for several reasons (work, family, time, etc). We now play for the enjoyment of each other and for the comradery of that first kill as a guild. We no longer wish to do 12-18 hours of progression raiding per week and feel we can keep a good pace with 6 hours per week (as we did in Cata with a full roster).
Our members are mostly parents, but it's safe to say that just about all our raid members are over the age of 25. During the raids, we often takes a quick break between trash and bosses in order to allow a member to attend to the needs of the kids (or spouse and sometimes pets too). When it comes to loot, we simply do a /roll. If you win something, then let someone else have a shot, but we often say, "no you go ahead and take it".
What are your 10-man raid times/day?:
Our raid nights are Tuesday and Thursday starting at 8:30 PM - 11:30 PM server time. For those that are time challenged that's:
9:30 PM - 12:30 AM - Eastern
8:30 PM - 11:30 PM - Central (server time)
7:30 PM - 10:30 PM - Mountain
6:30 PM - 9:30 PM - Pacific
If we are close to a kill on a progression boss we try and schedule a quick run for the weekend or Monday (depending upon whom can make it).
What does OiS expect from it's members?:
We demand courtesy and professionalism from all our members to each other as well as those that are not affiliated with OiS. Attitudes and drama will not be tolerated and are usually dealt with swiftly and effectively. When it comes to raids, we expect all raiding members to be fully enchanted, gemmed and reforged. We will provide flasks and food, but we also expect you to bring your own in the event that the GB does not have it stocked.
What class(es) are you looking for?:
Currently we would like to a few more dps. We believe in bringing the player, not the class - so progression ready people will be considered. However, we do have a slight preference for the following:
•Elemental Shaman (healing OS a plus)
•Balance Druid (healing OS a plus)
