I mean why not at this point? Make spells act differently. Different coefficients in pvp vs pve. In BGs/Arena/RBGs all the spells change to reflect and same for world pvp.
If we are attacking mob A in pvp and we start attacking player B the spell does more or less damage, and the effects are different. Or would that require to much work? And you would have to factor in AOES and Heals.
This is going to make people angry with me... but...
I'd rather pvp and pve become *less* seperated. My favorite memories of this game were when pvp players wore gear with very similliar statistics and you were encouraged to play both sides of the coin.
Because Blizzard thinks that would be complicated and difficult.
