I have mixed feelings about the decision to not downgrade valor gear to justice points. At this point, I have been capped on JP for a long time now. I have all the heirlooms already, so for me, this _completely_ devalues JP as a currency. I have only been using it to upgrade heroic-level items, and in 5.2, even that will not be possible. I still can't determine if it makes sense to upgrade heroic items now anyway.

This stuff happens every patch, and I never know what the correct course of action is on whether to burn points or save them. Even with valor not converting down, I can't determine if it makes sense to buy i489 items now with VP, or to save them until post-5.2 when i could buy presumably better valued items.

Rather than locking VP rewards away behind raid-only rep grinds, I'd like to see some alternative paths to getting gear that is higher than i483 LFR gear. Will i483 gear be sufficient to get into LFR for the new raid tier?

You guys should be ashamed of yourselves for this. You created this problem, and I know damn well you're going to continue to blame players for it.

What about the item upgrader npcs? How come they are being removed? Why not just keep them where they are?

Yes I can blame them for the elitist point of view. I have been where you are. I smashed my head against bosses for months, I get it, but Blizz does not offer "scrub/hand/out" tokens, just valor, for people who do not raid or have thick enough skin to use any type of lfg functions, so they choose to solo or run random stuff with their guilds on occasion.

I saw what was offered, did the grind to get what I wanted. I did not expect a hand out, and the person whom you answered, didn't give me the impression she/he wanted hand outs either. They just wanted gear via dailys and upgrades via dailys and more end game content for non raiders other than dailys. Gear is not only a tool, it is an incentive; a goal to achieve.

Judging people and labeling them, often derisively, due to the content they choose to do, and receiving the rewards Blizzard offers is wrong and just drives people away.

We all do what we do.

Harder/ riskier choices always lead to better potential rewards. A casual who spends his time farming herbs/ ores or making gold through other professions is rewarded through gold. A raider who enjoys raiding takes the risk of constant wipes which can amount to around 400g a night worth of repairs, and anywhere from 4-5 hours of time lost to achieve minor progression. I know several people who instead of raiding went casual to make gold and now have so much gold they don't know what to do with it whereas some of my raid group is trying to scrape up gold to fund their next raid. I on average spend close to 1k a night which equals about 3-4k/ week. After my time is sunk the only reward I look forward to is gear/ an achievement for a heroic kill if I could achieve the same amount of gear without risking my time or gold then obviously I would take that path as would many others. Whereas a casual has hardly any risk if they don't raid or work the ah, but by playing different aspects of the game achieve a different goal whether it be reputation, gold, mounts, pets, etc.

Please tell me you are not including LFR in harder/riskier choices. Yet you do not seem to have any problem with LFRers to be able to buy your precious ilvl 522 gear but are mad about others who actually play the game if they are able to get lower gear. BTW, you can relax, according to wowhead the Kirin Tor only offer one 496 ring at exalted.

I agree, if you run normal/heroic raids your rewards should be better but there has to be some way of progression to keep even solo players interested in running their repetitive content over and over again. Because all endgame is, is repetition.
Not surprising since there would have been only heirloom stuff to buy with those justice points. But really blizzard the conversion announcement should never had hit your front page with this little amount forward thinking. This kind of poor planning is showing up more frequently with remove ill upgrades, account bound rep increases, hell week one I remember you set the lfr ilvl to 470 seriously this crap is becoming consistent throughout every step in mop. It's down right embarrassing.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

Nevermind the complaints of people who are upset that you're listening to feedback.

This, and the reputation changes coming in 5.2, are all fantastic news and I'm glad that you've addressed our concerns with either agreement (no VP reset) or compromise (dungeon rep).

Upgrade the archaeology BoAs. lvl 85 471 gear is ridiculous.

The 476 items on the KTO and Sunreaver factions are being upped to 496 to accomodate the change in cost from gold to VP.

My feedback on how I'm going to earn valor and spend it. I'm going to continue to earn it by dailies, scenarios, dungeons, and raiding. I'm going to use it to upgrade as much as I can before patch 5.2 because you have not switched your position on the upgrader being removed in the patch.

I'd love to see a way for solo players and small groups to obtain heroic raid equivalent gear.

Make it hard.
Make it very hard if you must.
But provide a way for people who either don't have time to raid or simply don't want to raid to obtain that type of gear.
If it takes half a year to get all pieces so be it.
But give those people something to look forward to.
(or make crafting such quality gear possible and actually worth investing the time and effort)

As one of many PUPUing the VP changes I would like to say THANK YOU for reconsidering......Much appreciated

The Fact that so many get so passionate about changes is in fact a testament to this marvelous game youve created.
I can only imagine the difficulties in trying to keep everyone happy, let alone a myraid of other issues to make this all work.

All in All, at the end of day, all things considered, the bottom line....WELL DONE!

I am so pleased to hear this! Unfortunately, many raiders including most from my own guild have abandoned their servers in the hopes of raiding in more highly populated areas and this leaves people like myself who are unwilling to pay at the moment to server hop a bit stuck with running lfrs for gearing. As a Shaman I use a shield and it took weeks for it to drop and I had to run with a fan for the stats in the the meantime. Wearing a 4 pc tier set (5th piece is lower than what I am wearing and contributes nothing to the bonus) and with an iLvl of 487 myself and the only available shield at a lowly iLvl of 476, I was looking forward to trying to attain a new shield with 5.2 About the only useful item I can buy at the moment with my VPs is a trinket and I wasn't sure if I wanted to give up a higher possibility proc for a lower USE proc. Since I am nearly capped now while working toward the 6000 VP achievement in the legendary questline and could possibly cap again by the time 5.2 is released, I had been thinking about upgrading my shield and saving the rest for 5.2 but when I read about the upcoming conversion, I feared I would have to waste them on something I really don't need.

That is my long way of getting to the point of saying, thank you for deciding to not convert the VPs in 5.2!
