Hunter's eat us for breakfest
|
|
FYI, scatter breaks on damage. |

I think if you couldnt BM out of deep a mage could win pretty easy.
Between trink/bm/silence/scatter/feign, it just takes too long for a mage to actually do dmg. |

What balances hunters out is that even though Blizzard has given them the tools to be amazing, and not just us but against many classes, most are just still too huntarded...

Hunters do, contrary to popular belief, have a counter. DoT damage + self healing i.e. Locks, Spriests, Boomkins. But they are really strong against Mages and most melee. I don't think that's going to change this expac. Just realize this is exactly how Paladins feel vs. Mages, Warlocks feel vs. Warriors, Priests feel vs. DKs, etc.

Its the tranq shot that makes it really hard....
you dont have the globals to rebuff to protect from it takes out shields and BF procs in essence that 1 shot hit you for whatever damage your shield would have absorbed which with procs and trinket can be up to about 100k. I try to use POM, mirrors and alter time early to try to force him on defensive and hope that his tranq shots don't get my alter time |
We have a few more than that. Use your imagination! |
Dont forget stampede as well. why does every class have the same range as mages do? arent we a ranged clas to begin with? every class has a 35-40 yard range. While we are on a topic lets talk about why our pets and mirror images can be targeted but the pally guardian cant be targeted or even hit? |
|
Literally, people need to stop misuing the word "literally".
|
*edit* the really sad thing about most hunters, they can be tier 2 and never use a single trap in pvp. i dont get how when mages have complete mobility, like arcane back in wotlk, they nerf it to hell. but then they basically make hunters worse giving them complete mobility and extremely high dps. Because they are better at crying than any one, and blame it on mages. |

Yeah dude, I can tell you are terrible if you are having a hard time killing anything as a frost mage. /brofist |
Then why do Hunters melt all of those classes, too? |
because their warrior carries them. nah jk. |
|
|
Same reason that shadow priests do. |
And I can tell you don't have a mage if you think that killing a hunter as a mage is a simple matter mage being strong or not it at least has that hard counter. /brofist (inb4 lol I was only pretending to be retarded) |

Posted by AlordisYou lost all credibility when you didn't make mention that we're the only class that actually have to aim our traps for cc's to actually be effective. You know how easy it is to dodge them or let alone break out of them? How's that Ice Block of yours that you never want to use when we pop our cd's? You mean Dire Beast? You can one shot that thing. It can hurt you if you leave it alone, but its main purpose is to just restore our Focus Bar like a Combat Rogue using Adrenaline Rush. Dire Beast: Summons a "powerful" beast to attack your target for 15 seconds. Each time it deals damage, the hunter regains 5 focus. The health on it is laughable. I remember you. You were complaining that everyone shouldn't be able to one shot you. Your gear was the reason you were and still are a free kill. You playing a hunter as a low level? When the hell did the low level brackets ever mean something? Be honest with me please. |

I have a strategy to beat Hunters
.. .. .. .. .. .. Bring a HPal. |
|
I pvp fire and do find hunters annoying. I still find the most effective way to beat them is to stay close to them even though there is no dead zone. I'll eat their instant cc change then blink into melee and get them with a DB then nova Deep them. two guaranteed crits proc HS pop my one shot macro to force deterence. Happens this way every time. While they are detered I evoc back to full rinse and repeat. Win some lose some but seems I win more. Might just be going against bad hunters I dunno.
