Is there a way to create an item tree?

90 Human Warlock
Apologies if this isn't the right forum to ask this, simply I'm trying to create an item tree for a profession using the Blizzard supplied APIs. For example, starting with a basic crafting material the tree would be:

Windwool Cloth
/ \
Bolt of Windwool Cloth Windwool Bandage
/ \
Contender's Satin Belt Contender's Satin Amice

Is there a way to build this using the Platform APIs? Starting with WW cloth's id there's nothing like a "Reagent For" object which would be ideal. Even starting from an endpoint like Contender's Satin Belt I can go back and look at the spell/recipe that created it but the associated spell/recipe has no connection to the previous node, like "Requires 3 Bolt of Windwool Cloth". Is there any other way to go about this?

Well, my nicely spaced "tree" got it's white space eaten up, hopefully it still makes sense :)

Well Wowhead's XML item API shows the reagents needed to craft an item, but I don't think there's an official version of that.
