Facebook/Android Question

I'm trying to purge Facebook from my life right now, so I've deactivated my account and tried uninstalling the app from my Droid 4. However, even after I uninstall all the updates and return Facebook to its 'factory state', all I'm able to do is 'disable' it. I'm confused as to what exactly this means -- can I just not uninstall Facebook from my phone entirely?

I remember reading awhile back that if you have the Facebook app on your phone, you're giving them the permission to look in on all of your data: texts, pics, calls, etc. That's something I'm trying to avoid and it would be quite frustrating if unable to fully uninstall the app which gives them domain over my privacy.

Thanks!

root your phone and use "root app delete".
