Retina MPBs/Wacky Resolutions

So...yeah. Problematic enough in 5.0-5.1, where the only way to get retina-sharp text in-game was to crank the resolution all the way to 2880x1800 (also, because all the other resolutions were full of very strange, non-0-ending numbers). Now, with 5.2....3840x2400 is the new default? WTF is this resolution!? It exists literally nowhere else, none of the other resolutions render with the same clarity (and, again, see point above re: why are there so many strange resolutions), and my FPS is tanking (down from ~30 to ~15, on average). Is this something that is ever going to be addressed?

Please please solve this issue. My 1 month old Retina MPBs 15-inch is now getting 10 FPS on 'fair' graphic settings. What is going on?????? This is ridiculous.

Same here. FPS suffers greatly at this resolution but no other options provide the same clarity. I also had to monkey around with my UI addon for hours because its such an odd setting. My distance setting is set to low just to make the game play manageable which isn't desirable.

Can you post your full system specs from a copy/paste. Here is an easy way to do it.

    1. Launch World of Warcraft and log in.
    2. Put World of Warcraft into Windowed Mode if it is not already in Windowed Mode.
    3. From the system menu bar, select Help > Copy Support Information: http://i45.tinypic.com/foodww.png
    4. Paste the contents of the copied system information here (Command-V)

Also, what other resolutions do you see listed?

I've got the same thing. Very strange resolutions, possibly related to the random slow fps, stuttering and freezing. However, my resolution list is a little different.

960x600 (Wide)
1400x876 (Wide)
1730x1082 (Wide)
2008x1256 (Wide)
2252x1408 (Wide)
2470x1544 (Wide)
2672x1670 (Wide)
2860x1788 (Wide)
3036x1898 (Wide)
3202x2002 (Wide)
3360x2100 (Wide)

I find if I pick 2860x1788, the only one closest to the native 2880x1800, it runs better, but not what it used to be.
