Can't login, getting ArticleID=21014

I put in my password and hit login, it comes up with connection error articleID=21014. I played last night and my computer froze while i was playing and since then it's been coming up with this error when i try to login.

Are you using any internet security apps like an antivirus program? If so, try temporarily disabling or even uninstalling them while trying to login. They could be interfering.

Also, are you sure you're using the retail game client and not the PTR or an old beta release?

I'm useing Avg and I disable it, didnt make a difference. I'm useing retail client. I was playing on the same client yesterday and never had a problem, settings hasnt been changed everythings the same as yesterday.

Could you try uninstalling AVG? You'd want to be sure you'd be able to re-install it later though in case you want to keep using it.

Hmm, I can't see or find anything on your account to suggest any problems.

Let's get the game back to the default settings. You can do that temporarily and not lose any customization you've done.

With the game closed please rename your WTF folder to WTF.bak and INTERFACE
folder to INTERFACE.bak. Delete the Cache folder entirely. These hold setting info and temporary cache files that will be recreated by the game the next time you launch. Renaming them allows you to rename them back later if this step doesn't resolve anything.

NOTE: Please also make sure to remove any and all addon auto-installers or auto-updaters you may have, as those can automatically reinstall addons for you, possibly causing further issues.

Now start the game up again and see if the issue is still there.

Let's try this :

1) Reboot your computer

2) Delete the following folders :

World of Warcraft\Cache
World of Warcraft\Data\Cache

Blizzard Entertainment folder at :

Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\
Windows Vista/Windows 7: C:\ProgramData\Blizzard

3) Grab and install Hotspot shield :

4) Get Hotspot shield going and try to login.

5) If you can successfully login deactivate Hotspot shield. You only needed it temporarily so feel free to uninstall it.

If this doesn't work post a copy of your connection.log file from the Logs folder of your wow folder.

Did you delete the Battle.net.dll and Battle.net-64.dll files? Because you need those files.
