Clipping hots

Only just trying out healing on my druid for the first time in os.
Is there any point in a hots duration when you can clip the hot and have the new cast add on to the remaining time on the hot? |

If you're clipping any earlier than the last tick, then you're wasting mana.

But it doesn't add-on to the time on the existing HoT, it cancels and replaces the existing HoT, and you lose out on any remaining ticks it had left. If you refresh it right before the last tick it will add the remaining tick and time to the new hot. Anything before that is a waste of mana and effective casting time. |

This is probably my biggest mana waste. I'm terrible at refreshing Rejuvs. Been working with VuhDo to make my RJ countdown a bit more noticable to keep me from refreshing with 2+ ticks up.
