Hey guys, I'm looking to re-do my UI a bit to make healing a bit easier. I currently run Grid, bartender, and DBM.
Is there something I can get to either move my character pane down or have a health/mana bar more centrally located on the screen? A better raid frame than grid/blizzard's? I've heard vuhdo is great but hard to setup. I also use a combination of mouse over macros and just plain binds.
I've used ElvUI in the past and it was alright but when I got it it came with a bunch of pointless addons I had to go through and disable. I'm not against using it but not sure if it'll do what I need.
The biggest issue I currently have is my net. I live in a village (seriously) and my net is atrocious. This coupled with using a laptop (4 years old or so) with only a 17" screen gives me limited options to prevent lagging in a raid.
Feel free to show your ui too. I know this might be better in the ui sub forum but figured I'm asking for healing specific info so why not start here.
You can right click your character portrait and unlock it and move it anywhere.
On a side note i just started two weeks ago with it and am still figuring out triggers but would highly recomend weakauras. Especially for a paladin with as many CD's as you have.
I would agree with sadiemay, get Weakaura's for CD's and such. I use it all for all my stuff, our pali healer uses it as well.
I just redid my UI :) I was using bartender. But i Switeched to Elvui and vuhdo .
Yes vuhdo do is a little hard to configure, but once you get it down its quite nice. Plus all 3 of our healers use it, so we can figure out what we need fast.
They do not seem to take up much memory when running.
Once i'm on later ill try to remember to post a picture xD

I use Perl Classic unit frames, and it has a health/mana bar that I place centrally, just below my character's feet. I have it set to only show up when I'm in combat (in fact it's the first indicator I notice that I'm in or out of combat).
Yes you can it's called MoveAnything from curse.
After install simply hit esc and it's the last tab. Click it find PLAYER checkmark the left box and drag to place. Make sure it's unchecked after you're done.
You can move your castbar, hide the castbar, buffs-debuffs and anything else you can think of.

Cool guys, Ty. Didnt know you could treat your frame like a focus haha.
Ill have to give it a try. I did weak auras for a bit but couldn't get it to do what I was looking for, I'll check some if those presets. Appreciate the help, always know the healing forums are a friendly place.
