I have an alt guild and I want to change the ownership of the guild from one alt (1) to another alt (2). I don't seem to be able to promote my 2 to GM. Is this a situation where I have to invite another person, make them GM, and then have them promote my 2 to GM? Can I handle this by myself?
Try /gleader [insert character name here].
This "slash" command used to work, at least for characters on the same account (with some saying it worked for any character).
I noticed yesterday that I could simply promote any guildie to gm by right clicking their name in the roster, even if they were offline. The choices in the drop-down menu included Promote to guildmaster
