Topic <Arrested Gaming> Guild Incentive
Hello all. Long time player but first time in the thread. I am currently in a guild that I, along with college friends have created in order to promote guild participation and recruit for more than just a level based quality. We want all of our players to participate in PvP/Guild Arenas and I'm sure many of you have had the same idea.
We have come to an obstacle which is very common to the PvP player. The simple fact is, PvP is for the individual. I have seen expanding to the idea of guild arena/bg incentive but in a PvP guild, we lack the incentive to promise people gear or items besides simply offering professions for materials/enchants/gems/etc.
I would like to provide incentive to players who provide advice, tips, participate or just provide good PvP reputation but items for a guild are bind to account which provides no way of providing reward of a guild tabard to those who provide to our guild.
Any ideas? Sorry for the length
By being in a PVP guild (I assume) they get perks as is:
GB tailored to them
Vent with various rooms for the teams
Source of consumables
Guidance and leadership
..... By "incentive" it sounds like you're saying "I want to pay them for doing these things". Their incentive is being in the guild and getting all the benefits it provides to the entire member roster. Just set up more services as a guild but don't babysit anyone. Don't promise them gear; what did they do to deserve that? Help them gear by all means but don't bribe them with it.
Strongly encourage anyone considering to incorporate PvP into their gaming or guild, to spend a week reading various threads in the Arena and Battleground PvP forums. All to better familiarize themselves with the personality and behavior types of avid PvP'rs in order to come to a better conclusion of incorporating this aspect or not.
Time has shown that those who lead what they already do in game, tend to lead successfully in their endeavors, as well as those who are more informed of those they are attempting to lead.
