Who's your favorite Old God?

C'Thun
C'Thun is the Old God found in Silithus. He created the Qiraji, and supposedly took down a Titan.

Yogg-Saron
Yogg-Saron is the Old God found in Ulduar, in northern Northrend. Ulduar was built entirely as a prison for Yogg-Saron, though he corrupted it's watchers and attempted to break free of his bonds.

N'Zoth
N'Zoth is the Old God responsible for corrupting Deathwing. He is also believed to have a hand(or tentacle if you prefer) in attempting to corrupt the Emerald Dream. It is thought that he was the one that corrupted the Highborne into the Naga, and is supposedly near the Maelstrom, at the bottom of the sea.

Y'Shaarj
Y'Shaarj was an Old God killed by the Titans. It is known that the Mantid worshipped(and apparently still do) him. It is believed that the Sha are the remnants of Y'Shaarj. It is also thought that he was the Old God whose death revealed exactly how deep the Old Gods' infestation of Azeroth was, which caused the Titans to imprison the Old Gods, instead.

This. Why?

Everyone seemed so eager to take the horrible hideous gods of madness and chaos at their own WORD that they could not be killed. "Oh, they're beyond the cycle, they do not die, nhhh!"

Lies. Lies and propaganda all of it. There is and never was any reason to take any of the Old Gods or their minions at face value on any of their claims. They can't be killed because... they say so?

Bullhonky. They can say whatever they want, but the fact remains that the only reason why the Titans didn't off them all is because of the side effects and their fetish for putting things they don't like in boxes. If they had a spare world nearby to terraform from scratch, they could have just moved all the non-tainted life off world and atomized Azeroth down to the core.

Y'Shaarj - he's not big, he's not bombastic, he's not even a behind the scenes manipulator. But he's just living- nay, DEAD proof that, hey, maybe the horrible tentacle beasts are just lying to you to inflate their own writhing egos.

Y'Shaarj simply because he's already dead. I don't like the Old Gods to be so in our face as N'Zoth and to a lesser extent Yogg-Saron were.

As for C'thun, I'd probably like him more if I was around when AQ was relevant.

Yogg-Saron.

He can drive someone insane if they just look at him.

That's pretty damn cool.

Loved Ulduar and the trailer to it as well and Yogg was a great last boss for that place.

I'd have to say that my favorite Old God, despite not having made an actual appearance him/herself, would have to be N'Zoth.

I mean, for me it's mostly the fact that he/she's directly orchestrated Deathwing, possibly the Naga, and having a hand in the Emerald Dream's corruption into the Emerald Nightmare, not to mention the stuff that came as aftershocks to the things he/she made happen. And all of this, while staying out of the open, whereas C'Thun and Yogg both had their moments of public glory.

Thoq fssh N'Zoth!

He had the best content out of the Old Gods and was one of the best written villians.

Your fate is sealed. The end of days is finally upon you and ALL who inhabit this miserable little seedling. Uulwi ifis halahs gag erh'ongg w'ssh.

Is there somewhere where it says that the Titans decided not to kill the Old Gods because the Old Gods themselves told them not to?

It was originally stated that the Old Gods don't follow the rules of life and death. This is obviously shown with Y'Shaarj. It's dead, but not completely gone.

My favorite Old God would have Y'Shaarj simply because it's dead, but not completely gone.

Is there somewhere where it says that the Titans decided not to kill the Old Gods because the Old Gods themselves told them not to?

There has been nothing that states the Old Gods told the Titans not to kill them. From what we know the Titans killed an Old God and it had disastrous side effects(idc if that's the right one) so instead of killing the other 4(debatable) they simply put them into a deep slumber and deep inside Azeroth into another dimension of sorts I would imagine.

Old Gods are parasites extremely powerful parasites.

Hate to rain on your parade man, but Y'Shaarj isn't dead.

Sure, his body has been destroyed, but the Titans couldn't kill him. Instead, they sealed his "heart" away under the Vale of Eternal Blossoms.

So..... Sorry, I guess?
