Ever wanted to try role-playing but never knew how to start?
Or did you try to role-play back in the day but some bad experiences (or players) made you give up entirely?
There are many that say that Twisting Nether is on a downward spiral. And maybe they’re right. Nevertheless, we, the players, are still here! So let’s make the best of our time on the server and on WoW!
Members of the Redblade Corsairs shall be hosting an OOC Role-Playing Workshop and Networking Social on Friday, May 17th at 7pm server for all Alliance players on Twisting Nether who are genuinely interested in learning about RP. First time RPers with no RP experience are welcome to attend. Don’t be shy!
Our goal is to teach and promote RP in Twisting Nether. No cliquish, elitist RP snobs here; we like to RP and we simply want to share why we like it. At the event, we will try to work one-to-one with you to answer your RP questions and provide a safe, criticism-free space to practice role-play to your heart’s content!
We will cover the basics, including:
- IC (in-character) vs. OOC (out-of-character)
- Where to RP?
- How to make your character inviting to others for RP
- God-modding, Meta-gaming, and Mary-Sues
- RP Griefing and how to deal with it
- Recommended RP Add-ons: “Total RolePlay 2” “MyRolePlay”
- How to respect RP without having to be an RPer
Exact location to be determined. Future workshops pending, based on expressed interest. Please contact Tuuroto either by in-game mail or whisper to get a calendar invite/reminder. Bonus points if it’s an IC letter. We love IC letters. :)
Sponsored by the Redblade Corsairs, Heavy-RP guild.
