You don't have to be a mage to partake in the community ;o.

I'm not seeing anything from the mage community really yet, other than some discussion about our set bonuses..

Not trying to be rude, just confused as to what 'amazed' you :|

And the anti-mage community never ceases to amuse me.

Was more sarcasm, just used to the consistent behavior of the majorities in each community =[. Aka, the op.

I agree, I'm not a fan of them either.

Do we really need changes? Are we broken? o.O

Broken, no.

Do we have some talents and glyphs that are either overused or underused, indicating that either they or their competitors need changes? Yeah.

Just because something may not be broken doesn't mean it can't be better. One thing I loved about GW1 for example was that even though abilities weren't necessarily OP or UP they were always being changed. It made things interesting always having to figure out new builds for different situations.

Change can be an awesome thing. It can also be a terrible thing, but I would rather err on the side of change and see where it takes us.

Broken, no.

I'd argue with you here.

But those are things that can't be fixed until next expansion.

Personally I don't mind Invocate during raids. A ~2 second cast every minute is that terrible. The thing I hate the most is having a 40-60k DPS swing with 0 difference in gameplay one attempt to the next

It'd be nice if invocation didn't just arbitrarily not grant the buff half the time (no im not cancelling it for a cast or moving, I've tested this while standing perfectly still in the middle of orgrimmar).

Well that is a bug that GC has already commented on trying to fix.

Maybe they're giving us new lv 90 talents that actually make people not want to cut themselves.

Gogo severe rng dependency :(

Personally I like some rng, but when rng ends up playing more of a role then ability....it's just too much.

I have noticed that Blizzard seems to have bad rng down to an art form. I almost think that Blizzard should rethink their random number generator.

Either way, from what little I have seen of the PTR patch notes, they seem to be putting any serious development on the mage class on the back burner until the next expansion at the earliest. I don't expect much out this patch with regards to mages.

Id much rather get the Warlock overhaul for 6.0 then some working for 5.4
