Best healer in pve and pvp

I'm want to start a healer class but I don't know which is the best. I play both pve and pvp equally so I would like a class that is the "best" at both of these areas.

Holy Pally + Disc = PvE

Disc = PvP

MW Monk, if you want to be equally strong in PvP and PvE.

I think you went azzbackwards on this part. MW and druids have a lot of utilities in PvP, even if some of them are personal utility. "Utility" doesn't have to be healing CDs. Monks and druids have incredible mobility, we can both teleport (druids, only if there is a lock with the self port down a la symb), throw CCs like no tomorrow, etc. All that is what I would consider utility.

Go monk! You won't be disappointed. So. Much. FUN!

Druids are awesome, but they are pretty much the lowest healers (no matter what anyone else says) in pve. Most healers in raids wont be kind and let your hots tick, they will just heal up anyone who takes dmg, the amount of overhealing I do is insane, way more than other classes do. But once you get used to it and find out how to heal well, you can do pretty good numbers.

That is just your co-healer(s) being bad, or running too many healers for the content you are doing, not druids being inherently bad. I two-heal almost everything with a Disc priest in PvE, and do low MMR RBGs with a MW monk and a resto shaman. I can typically hold my own, and can actually stomp on the Disc priest on fights that cater to druid strengths. In PvP, meters mean even less than they do in PvE, as it is all about dispels, CC, and survivability as much as it is about HPS.

To the OP, druids are fine, and a heck of a lot of fun to play, which is why this character is and has been my main for both PvP and PvE for some time. Druids are far more comp dependent in arenas than paladins, shaman, or monks, so if you plan to do 2s or 3s, you may have to choose your partner(s) a bit more carefully, but for random BGs, they really can't be beat. :)

I guess you're right. I completely forgot about symbiosis. Symbiosis puts them over the edge in terms of utility.

You will see alot more resto druids in 5.4 with the QoL changes, especially Genesis.
