Flurry of Xuen - Your damaging attacks have a chance to trigger a Flurry of Xuen, causing you to deal 60% weapon damage to all targets in front of you, every 0.5 sec for 3 sec.

What do you all think of them?

sounds OP, depending on what abilities it effects, ie: 2min shadow blades CD, 40sec shadow dance CD.
i would love to know what abilities it affects.

that being said, these put the nail in the coffin for wpvp, unless next seasons gear significantly reduces the existing gap.

What do you all think of them?


Initial thoughts:

1) This trinket will be incredibly good, the proc will be better for faster attacking classes and we benefit a lot from that since we attack so frequently. I think this will benefit Assassination more than the other specs though, simply due to their poisons.

2) Probably the worst out of all of these trinkets, that proc rate will have to be increased to make it viable. Crit is also kinda meh for 2/3 specs.

3) Most likely the best trinket out of all of them. That's one hell of a proc + the reduced cd's synergizes with Mut's T16 set bonus. (Though I think it will be the weakest for Assassination)

4) Unless there is an ICD for the decrease, I don't see this trinket being very good. We could see the trinket used up in < 4 seconds as it currently stands.

Overall: Pretty interesting trinkets. I see 1 and 3 being our BiS unless something happens to the 4th trinket.

why are you forcing us to raid, Blizzard?

no items should effect anything as fundamental as cooldowns on abilities like those.
shorter cooldowns = more frequent burst, resets = more kill attempts = significantly advantage over someone playing with the full cooldowns

I don't like the RPPM trinkets, they've turned dps into glorified slot machines. And now these trinkets... I am all for interesting trinkets, but trinkets have become far too powerful and unpredictable.

However, Sub will be interesting. With a CD reduction on shadow dance and the new 4 piece bonus I suspect the uptime on find weakness will be fairly substantial.

I don't like the RPPM trinkets, they've turned dps into glorified slot machines. And now these trinkets... I am all for interesting trinkets, but trinkets have become far too powerful and unpredictable.


Ya huge variances in DPS due to procs is silly.

These trinkets are interesting, but I'm pretty sure a lot of these aren't going to be very good for us. I assume 1 will be normalized so that attack speed doesn't really give you more procs, which will make it pretty uninteresting for rogues who don't have very hard hitting individual abilities. 2, we'll see, just seems like a fight dependent trinket. 3 is probably the most interesting...the first that comes to mind is, with t16 heroic gear, are combat rogues going to be able to perpetually AR and SB? The base cooldowns are going to be a bit under 2 minutes, and with the insane haste people are going to have and possibly even keeping the t15 4pc....that will be something to watch. For trinket 4, we probably attack too fast for that to be good. 5 is boring but pretty straightforward and powerful for assassination.

They have always shared a CD and they are in the "Shared Cooldown" area on mmo-champ

this one must be the worst trinket in the world for rogues... since most use daggers , will reach 0 agility bonus in a matter of seconds.

hope there is a 1 or 2 sec internal cd between the reductions.

To me this sounds like it is only going to affect combo generators and spenders, not cooldowns. It just sounds like another one of the ways blizzard is attempting to bandage fix combat's energy-GCD capped playstyle. It is still a very good trinket, but the people who think this will affect CD's are probably mistaken. That would be far too OP.

The six abilities are probably sinister strike, revealing strike, rupture, eviscerate, slice and dice, and one other, like maybe the GCD on killing spree. For assassination it would instead be mutilate, envenom, vendetta, etc.

i hope this doesnt go live. this gives a radical advantage to that raid trinket in normal fights. its gameplay ruining for the vast majority of players that will not see this drop, for months to come, if ever.

please dont do that blizz, you have a hard enough time balancing the game as is. this will blow up in your face, guaranteed.

I see, this does seem like it would be a huge balance problem and just get nerfed into oblivion through a hotfix shortly after everyone has geared around having it. lol
