Notable Ret. Paladin Trinkets Patch 5.4

Hello fellow Paladins

Today I spent some time on MMO-Champion looking over some trinkets that may or may not be released in patch 5.4, this is still in PTR (Public Test Realm) and as you know things change rapidly. All of the items linked below are from the "PTR.WOWDB.COM".

All disclaimers aside let's go ahead and pretend that these trinkets are set and stone into the game, and will be going live in Patch 5.4. I put a link to some notable trinkets that I think are interesting and will be decent for Retribution Paladins. All the trinkets will be "Normal Mode" trinkets, stat changes will ensue for Raid Finder, Heroic, and Heroic Thunderforged Versions.

Trinket #1 - No Name Currently - http://ptr.wowdb.com/items/102301-5-4-raid-normal-siege-of-orgrimmar-boss-x-loot-x

What I think about Trinket #1: Seeing that Haste is a huge part of Retribution Paladins in Mists of Pandaria so far the automatic "1,959 Haste" is nice. The "1.62% chance to Cleave, seems a little un-useful. The Cleave attack obviously is good but the percentage chance is so low, that it almost makes the trinket irrelevant. Now I do not see any GCD or DR so this may be decent, we will have to wait and see.

Trinket #2 - No Name Currently - http://ptr.wowdb.com/items/102305-5-4-raid-normal-siege-of-orgrimmar-boss-x-loot-x

What I think about Trinket #1: A trinket without an additional stat is hard for me to find viable, seeing that most of the times the stats added on the trinkets are extremely useful. Now saying that for this trinket having not just one but two equip bonuses is nice. Having the flat 14% amplification of Critical Strike Damage, Healing, Haste and Mastery is AMAZING. Having the trinket be complimentary to not just one major stat but multiples is great. I will do some quick theorycrafting, I'm guessing that upgraded it will increase the percentage by +2% Each Upgrade. Also the trinket has the final equip bonus increasing your Strength by 11,761 for 10 seconds is very nice, not uncommon.

Trinket #3 - No Name Currently - http://ptr.wowdb.com/items/102298-5-4-raid-normal-siege-of-orgrimmar-boss-x-loot-x

What I think about Trinket #3: Increasing the cool down recovery rate of six of your major abilities by 39% leaves me with an "uneasy" feeling. Obviously the abilities will change based on class but hopefully they will have a list of the six major abilities for each class and class specification. Again the final equip increasing Strength by 11,761 for 10 seconds is a nice yet common equip.

Trinket #4 - No Name Currently - http://ptr.wowdb.com/items/102315-5-4-raid-normal-siege-of-orgrimmar-boss-x-loot-x

What I think about Trinket #4: A nice baseline trinket that seems to always be a "Safe" bet when coming to BiS (Best In Slot). The chance on proc. of the 11,761 Haste for 20 seconds is a nice yet again common additive to a trinket.

Trinket #5 - No Name Currently - http://ptr.wowdb.com/items/102301-5-4-raid-normal-siege-of-orgrimmar-boss-x-loot-x

What I think about -
Trinket #5: This trinket does no "solely" apply to Retribution Paladins being that the haste can be reforged into Critical Strike for a Warrior. You have a 9.9% chance to trigger "Multistrike" which deal additional damage to your target equal to 1/3 of the original damage dealt. This Trinket baseline is decent, but not something I would "gravitate" to.

- Thank you very much for reading about the "Noteable" trinket I found so far in Patch 5.4. Give this post a "Thumbs Up" and tell me what trinket are you most interested in?

- This forum post encourages Theorycrafting and bringing ideas to the table.

Thanks Yxx

As long as there is no more ridiculous high hit trinkets, Ret paladins will be happy.

You've got the same link for trinket #1 and #5, did you mean #1 to be

?

There are some very unusual effects on these trinkets, which could have some interesting implications. I'm especially curious about the cooldown-reducer; are we talking rotational abilities, DPS cooldowns, utility, what?

No matter what abilities it affects, it sounds like it'll be disruptive and annoying. If it's core DPS abilities and it doesn't affect the GCD, then that throws everything into chaos, and if it's DPS CDs, they won't necessarily line up well anymore.

Not sure how I fell about this one.

Cleave trinket
Cleave legendary cloak proc
Cleave set bonus

I have a feeling we're going to do a lot of cleaving in the next tier.

Thanks for pointing that out Ravicana, with so many trinket windows open from earlier, and some of them having the same icons gets me confused haha.

Found what is supposedly the list:
http://ptr.wowdb.com/spells/145976-readiness
AW, GoAK, Devo Aura, Divine Protection, Divine Shield, and Ardent Defender.

I'd hoped it would include ES and HA; without those it'll have alignment problems as you say. AW/GoAK alone seem like possibly a big deal, but I'm somewhat less excited about it now.

That also throws Zealotry under the bus.

Edit: wait, I read HA and interpreted it as Light's Hammer.

So what you're trying to say is that Paladins are going to have great cleavage?

Ardent Defender is prot only and listed twice. I guess the 6th ability for ret/holy hasn't be listed yet.

I don't see how HA or DP would be anywhere near SW with that trinket.
