So, on the PTR the new tier isn't a robe as we thought. It has a chestpiece and leggings. This means you can see the boots. Unfortunately the "boots" for the Paladin set are those stupid skin tight shoe model, like ankle socks. Time to start a riot, IMO.
...What do the pants look like? o_O
Not bad, actually. It's just frustrating that there aren't any matching boots. Only a pair of socks.
Oh, and they have a pair of DPS boots that match this time. Still socks, though.

It is getting annoying when plate legguards, boots, or gloves are shaped and look like pieces of tights that some one drew on with a crayon.
The set would look way better if it actually looked like PLATE ARMOR...
It looks like a Mage tier set.

This is what happens when people complain about robes.
Well, I'd place good money on designs for boots and such to be based on what the tier armor for the class it is supposed to match looks like.
If the first design has a dress/skirt, good chance the boots will be closer to a slipper/foot wrap as the main part of the boot will be hidden on characters with "normal feet" (humans, dwarves, elves, goblins) anyway.
We get that some people don't like the skirt/dress, but they have Tmog to fi that, especially since complaining might make us go from a set with mixed results to one that no one in their right mind would like.
Threats of violence. We take these seriously and will alert the proper authorities.
