That's a good question...probably going to dislike things that are inflammatory and just downright insulting. I don't mind differing points of view and don't mind engaging in debates with people.

Yeah, not to mention that like the SC2 forums we'll have a list of the /liked posts from the index. At least the ones that have a ton of /likes will show up there.

Didn't mean it in a derogatory sense. :) I asked it because in different forum communities that have used voting, different communities have reached different standards on what they consider is bad form. I love the tank forum. :)

Funny I thought this post was titled "Tanking Forum Dislikes Etiquette" and I was gonna say hell yeah.
But its not:( So seeing how I'm the kinda of guy who uses the big fork and spoon for everything (cause the little fork and spoon are for small people right?) I'm just gonna like posts that put some new information or strats on the table and dislike anything I thought was a waste of my time to read. |

I'm going to keep using my own ethics where I will focus more on encouraging good behavior than punishing bad behavior. There's too much emotion and bias in using the "dislike" feature for my tastes.
But I will use it in particularly bad and overly malicious posts, which the tank forum is thankfully spared from most of the time. "Your idea is stupid". That's fine. "You're a moron". Not good, but not something I'd immediately Dislike over. "You're a moron, your idea is stupid, I hate you, and L2P" Dislike button is for this. |
