How will the Tank classes rank in Cata?

For reasons not entirely clear to me, these are the tanking pairs that tend to be established (roughly in order of frequency):

Warrior/Paladin
Paladin/Druid
Warrior/DK
Warrior/Druid
Paladin/DK

DK/Druid is rare, probably slightly more rare than we'd expect from random chance.

You can blame Heroic Anub for this.

I don't think it's *just* that, though.

DK/Druid didn't exist at all(nor did Druid/Druid or DK/DK) in the beginning of ICC. It started popping up, but we're more than a year past Heroic Anub.

It wouldn't have existed at all at the start of ICC. Since you essentially must use a shield-tank for H-Anub, and since that tank would already be completely geared, you have 0 incentive to suddenly ditch them for no reason.

After that anomaly had passed, any new guilds would be free to choose their tank combinations, or deal with turnover with the "Bring the Player not the Class" mantra. This instead of "Bring the Player not the Class, unless its a shield tank."

The numbers make perfect sense to me.
