Optimum T11 gear

After combining all the best gear from T11 raiding content I found that a hit rating of 1076 from gear, 40*2 for 2 blue sockets, 20*8 for 8 other sockets, 50*2 from boot and bracer enchant, total of 1416 hit rating, could be gotten. This is 325.65 rating under the 1,741.65 hit cap, simply reforge gear until that is gotten, details at end of post.

Which piece was the best was more or less what piece had the highest item level, as there was normally only one spell DPS 372 item for each slot currently discovered.

helm - Crown of the Twilight Queen - http://cata.wowhead.com/item=60237
neck - Valiona's Medallion (heroic) - http://cata.wowhead.com/item=65112
shoulder - Firelord's Mantle (heroic) - http://cata.wowhead.com/item=65213
cloak - Shroud of Endless Grief (heroic) - http://cata.wowhead.com/item=60232
chest - Firelord's Robes (heroic) - http://cata.wowhead.com/item=65212
bracers - Bracers of the Bronze Flight (heroic) - http://cata.wowhead.com/item=65138
gloves - Firelord's Gloves (heroic) - http://cata.wowhead.com/item=65209
belt - Belt of Arcane Storms (heroic) - http://cata.wowhead.com/item=65034
leggings - Firelord's Leggings (heroic) - http://cata.wowhead.com/item=65211
feet - Einhorn's Galoshes (heroic) - http://cata.wowhead.com/item=65069
ring1 - Signet of the Fifth Circle (heroic) - http://cata.wowhead.com/item=65123
ring2 - Signet of the Fifth Circle - http://cata.wowhead.com/item=59501
trinket1 - Theralion's Mirror (heroic) - http://cata.wowhead.com/item=65105
trinket2 - Stump of Time - http://cata.wowhead.com/item=62465
mainhand - Blade of the Witching Hour (heroic) - http://cata.wowhead.com/item=65091
offhand - Book of Binding Will (heroic) - http://cata.wowhead.com/item=65133
wand - Theresa's Booklight (heroic) - http://cata.wowhead.com/item=65016

There were a couple items (mainhand, trinket2) which had a few possible items, and I just kind of picked one (trinket2 I made a hit trinket, maybe not the best choice, but a good one)

The mastery(m), haste(h) and crit(c) rating totals are as follows, enchants unincluded, many enchants are int, anyways.
m = 1262
h = 1942 + 80(4 sockets) = 2022
c = 1106

After reforging your robe, [boots or belt], ring1, ring2 and cloak from haste to hit, you are 3 hit over the hit cap, I couldn't find a way to make it closer.

This means that your final numbers are
hit = 1744 = 17.03%
mastery = 1262 = 7.04
haste = 1201 = 9.38%
crit = 1106 = 6.17%

Pretty low numbers, lower than I figured for the first tier of raiding.

keep in mind they're trying to get from the whole inflated stats thing like stuff is right now

Yeah, but I still expected maybe 15% or so... it just seems like gear won't be increasing our power quite as much as usual

I wasn't sure what should go into the second trinket slot, and I did this mainly to get an idea of how much of each rating we can plan to have. Most the trinkets don't affect a rating. I just posted it here if any1 else was curious. I know a few things could be swapped out depending on actual damage per point ratios.

I'd rather go for the hit chest rather than the Sinestra helm and a different trinket than Theralion's Mirror. Your set-up seems to be for Arcane/Frost, a mastery proc is utter garbage for Fire.

Trinket 1:Heart of Ignacious
Trinket 2:Bell of Enraging Resonance

Those would both be better trinkets for Fire than the ones you have. Actually, until otherwise confirmed, Shard of Woe may even be a better Arcane trinket, but god knows when a mage would get that.

Most of the trinkets offer no ratings, which was actually the main point of me doing this, to get a feel for what ratings would be like. The trinket I did pick has a whole bunch of int, I would bet the int is better than anything else for every spec. Is mastery really that bad for fire? I thought that mastery was supposed to be a nearly favorite stat for every spec, I assumed it would be balanced so. (the %'s can be tweaked so easily, I see no reason why blizzard would allow any spec to not love their newest stat)

A mastery PROC is just awful for Fire, but is good-to-great for Arcane and Frost. Also, the hit chest is still better than the Sinestra helm, ilevel does good gear not make.

Well, the meta requirment for Chaotic is now "Requires more blue than red", which takes alot of work to get right.

102 int at 5100 SP + base damage, which should be pretty close to entery level 85, would be about a 2% increase in damage, which is way more than what 102 hit rating, or 1% hit, would net you.

So basicly, since points on gems are 1 to 1, int will be better than anything on gems, ignoring socket bonuses of course. Since int cant be reforged, hit is your top reforge stat.

If it requires more blue than red....why are you telling him to gem nothing but red gems?

isn't frost the only mage spec that will use the chaotic meta anyway?

I thought that the change to the req put the ember meta on top for arc/fire.

The prevalent theory right now is, 1 int > 1 hit > 1 other rating, and that int is about 50% better than hit, and as much as 2 times better than other ratings at level 85 gear levels. This will remain until we hit the 10k SP threshold.

It's been mathed, last I checked, that Chaotic is still the meta of choice for all specs.

I want to know a source for the 1 int > 1 hit > other stats, and your %'s. 50% better? 100% better? Where did these come from?
