Druids harness the vast powers of nature to preserve balance and protect life. With experience, druids can unleash nature’s raw energy against their enemies, raining celestial fury on them from a great distance, binding them with enchanted vines, or ensnaring them in unrelenting cyclones.

Druids can also direct this power to heal wounds and restore life to fallen allies. They are deeply in tune with the animal spirits of Azeroth.

As master shapeshifters, druids can take on the forms of a variety of beasts, morphing into a bear, cat, storm crow, or sea lion with ease. This flexibility allows them to fill different roles during their adventures, tearing enemies to shreds one minute and surveying the battlefield from the sky the next. These keepers of the natural order are among the most versatile heroes in Azeroth, and they must be prepared to adjust to new challenges on a moment’s notice.

Druid Information

Druids are versatile combatants, in that they can fulfill nearly every role – healing, tanking, and damage dealing. It’s critical that druids tailor the form they choose to the situation, as each form bears a specific purpose.

  • Type Tank, Healer, Ranged Magic Damage Dealer, Melee Damage Dealer
  • Standard Bars Health, Mana, Rage, Energy
  • Available Armor Cloth, Leather
  • Available Weapons Daggers, Fist Weapons, One-Handed Maces, Polearms, Staves, Two-Handed Maces
Druid Talents

Druid talents focus on improving the powers of their natural and animal forms, enhancing their ability to summon forth natural phenomena, or increase the potency of their life-giving healing magic.

Druid Features
Versatility

Druids’ changing forms let them assume different roles and focus on either tanking, healing, or damage. They can also shapeshift to travel faster on land, sea, and air.

Healing

By calling upon the powers of nature, druids are able to swiftly restore health to their injured allies.

Defense

When shapeshifted into their bear form, druids possess a thick skin and imposing presence that makes them ideal front-line protectors of weaker party members.

Melee and ranged damage

Druids can take on the form of a savage cat in order to claw and bite their enemies up close, or that of a wild moonkin to blast enemies from afar.

@Riyen: Rofl. Rdruids are the most broken PvP healers right now. Shamans, Dpriests and Hpallies are the PvP healers. As for PvE it depends on the boss.

it is by far better than feral if you have the right gear and trinkets for it! And a good, solid rotation makes a huge difference about how much dps you deal because if you are just spamming like three - five abilities and just waiting them to go off cooldown you are not maximizing the amount of DPS you d. Instead, use those five but then use other abilities that aid in your DPS.
It takes more skill to play boomkin than it does to play a feral druid.
Hope that helps when it comes to DPS

@Mayoness: They can do really well if played right. However, the way blizzard balances it can not be fought. They made them a bit weaker because druids are so versatile. It's really unfair if they are the top tanks healers and dps. They are already top tanks and one of the top heals. Top dps would be REALLY unfair to everyone else

What would the best spec be? And do you need the flight masters license to use the flying form?

@Suruuk: Looks like you chose Feral. That's my favorite Druid spec but I hate casting/ranged DPS and I haven't tried healing. I pretty much only Tank/melee since I am the best with that. I am horrible at ranged DPS so if someone told me that's the best, I would try it, fail and try something else and be better. What I'm trying to say is that it's all about what you're good at and enjoy that makes any spec "the best". And yes, you do need the license to fly anywhere. You won't even be able to change into that form until you get the license. Hope all that helps.

@Suruuk: The best spec? Seeing as you are feral, it all depends A. How well you get gear and B. If you can adapt to rotations. If you can keep a steady rotation of spells with the Lunar and Solar balance going in full tune, it blasts everyone apart compared to feral. However, if you are well geared and can use your bleeds and stealth attacks correctly while DPSing as feral, it easily will top most charts. Try out both. No, you don't need the license to use the bird form in outlands, but you need artisan riding to use the fast flying form, a Northrend Flying permit [something like that] to fly in Northrend, and yes, if you wish to fly back in old Azeroth [funplace :D ] you have to pay the 250.00 gold [not counting reputation discounts] to fly in old and new Azeroth. Healing and Tanking are different, if you want to ask about those just say somethin.

@Salga: At your level in the zones you are leveling in, the only problem would be being able to use the healing gear to get the new gear you want or having to have it crafted. Otherwise, unless you hit 85 in the next few hours, it shouldn't be a problem. Once 85 hits, you have serious issues changing specs and getting new gear. Bear that in mind. [haha get it?]

Can anyone tell me what good dps should be for lvl 67 nelf druid? I've never really done dungeons but I've started the past couple of days and everyone keeps mentioning dps ratings. I think it was 200 on the last dungeon and when I asked what that meant someone told me that "I fail." LOL So, what should it be, how can I make it better, etc?

Im thinking bout making a druid but can't decide on Balance or FC. I already have a few caster classes and one tank. But If I wanted FC I would've just made a rogue or warrior. Which talent is better?

@Duredrasill: this prison clearly does not know how to pvp as a boomkin. yes we get destroyed in 1v1 duels but as of rbgs we are one of the most op classes for them... this druid clearly has never played in rbgs as boomkin or seen the damage of a boomkin in pvp with someone that knows how to peal.
