Classes of World of Warcraft

Mage

Students gifted with a keen intellect and unwavering discipline may walk the path of the mage. The arcane magic available to magi is both great and dangerous, and thus is revealed only to the most devoted practitioners. To avoid interference with their spellcasting, magi wear only cloth armor, but arcane shields and enchantments give them additional protection. To keep enemies at bay, magi can summon bursts of fire to incinerate distant targets and cause entire areas to erupt, setting groups of foes ablaze.

Masters of ice can command blizzards that tear into flesh and limit movement. Should enemies manage to survive this assault, the mage can shrink them into harmless sheep in the blink of an eye.

Powerful magi can even generate enhancements and portals, assisting allies by sharpening their minds and transporting them instantly across the world.

Mage Information

Mages demolish their foes with arcane incantations. Although they wield powerful offensive spells, mages are fragile and lightly armored, making them particularly vulnerable to close-range attacks. Wise mages make careful use of their spells to keep their foes at a distance or hold them in place.

Mage Talents

Mage talents focus on enhancing individual schools of magic – quick, aggressive Fire spells; efficient, controlling Frost spells and punishing Arcane spells.

Ranged damage

Mages can expend mana in order to deal high amounts of damage with amazing speed, though they must be wary of exhausting themselves.

Area of effect spells

By calling upon sheets of ice, columns of flame, and waves of arcane power, mages can effectively attack multiple foes at the same time.

Control

A mage has many options for controlling the battlefield, from freezing enemies in place to transforming them into helpless critters.

Teleportation

Mages possess the ability to transport themselves and their allies between cities and can summon replenishing food and water.

They aren't bad at all. MoP makes you learn how to play now and not just potato on the keyboard. In dungeons, i'm doing roughly about 55-70k In dps in Fire, which is a really hard class to learn but fun. I love Mages <3

Thanks Blizz, now my DPS is even lower! Couldn't ask for better level 90 talents either! I turn my beloved evocation into an AoE than no one but I can use? Brilliant! Better give them 2 in that case!

@Felipedf: Horde = Troll for the haste racial and Alliance = Worg for the crit racial or Dran for the hit racial. Gnomes get a mana boost but it's not that big. Belfs have sucky racials.

ARCANE!!!!!! (untill you get fire gear) arcane is looking awesome after the pach, the rotation is very simple and you can wreck hovac on anything! but i would definatly take living bomb because if used right it will land 1st or 2nd place in you dps rotation, and why if you apply it to a mob and spread it via gliph of fire blast(or something like that) it will blow up and hit 3 enemys + the enemy infected with the bomb for around 70-120k(for me) and take that times 9(max amount of mobs that can be hit by livin bomb) that is some nice dps. but the DoTs of fire when geared win hands down. but i do have a question should i go with a Mhand and a Ohand or a 2h staff(the 2h staff has better stats but i alwas see so many people with the Mhand and Ohand combo)

Mages are op they take damage hard but its not like they can even be hit Arcane can just basicly 1 shot u and with looms they always top dps charts no matter what!
